Hi,   After rebooting my company laptop this morning I haven't been able to change the source within the data source settings for semantic model connections in Power BI Desktop. Whenever I click 'Change Source' a new 'hidden' pop-up window appears in my taskbar, but I can't see it anywhere, and it only appears as a white empty window in the task bar. I can however connect to a "new" semantic model without any issues, the issue only exists when trying to change the connection for an exisitng semantic model.   I can see that Power BI Desktop was updated to the newest version (Version: 2.134.7447.1 64-bit (October 2024)) after the reboot, as part of the company's auto update policies. As such, I strongly assume that this new update brought along the issue, as no security updates has been deployed this week by my company's InfoSec team. Furthermore, a team member with an older version of Power BI Desktop is not facing this issue.                                                       This issue is preventing us from testing updates to semantic models on reports in Power BI Desktop, effectively blocking our weekly deployment.   Any help here would be much appreciated.   Thank you,  ... Hello, I'm encountering an issue where visuals in my report crash whenever I apply a date filter. To isolate the problem, I tested it in a new blank report with just a simple table visual (containing one column) and a slicer using a date field. As soon as I use the date filter, the table visual fails to render and displays the following error: An unexpected error occurred (file "", line, function ""). This seems to happen consistently. Hello   Since yesterday we can't publish "connected live to Power BI semantic model reports" in our workspace. Those reports already exist, and we usually replace them to update their format.  But now we cannot do it, and we get this error (see picture): What is wrong? Publishing a power BI desktop file to power BI service, in an attempt to overwrite an existing dataset/report doesn't work whenever you might have switched on the toggle of OneDrive refresh.   Turning of the toggle doesn't solve the issue.   Reported issues, claimed to be resolved by the product team, continue to cause big issues: Cannot disable OneDrive refresh - Microsoft Power BI Community. This result in a status where it is impossible to adjust a dataset/report. (Even though Microsoft is pushing towards full parity of power BI desktop into the cloud, currently we can't fully work in the browser as not all functionality of power BI desktop has been added in the browser.)   The only unacceptable workaround appears to delete your dataset/report in the service and publish a new one.   Let me elaborate some of the consequences of deleting the dataset/report:   need to re-pin visuals to dashboards RLS/OLS needs to be reconfigured related reports/datasets are broken (hybrid reports, reports on the same datasets, etc.) all reports directly or indirectly related to this dataset that are pinned in Microsoft Teams are broken Deep Links (with filters in the URL) to every report related directly/indirectly to this dataset are broken all people's bookmarks to related reports/datasets are broken integrations of power BI reports in PowerApps are broken integration in Excel Custom data types are broken (featured tables) integration of power BI in Power Automate are broken, automation of processes thus are broken all external systems sending API requests to that dataset are broken metrics are broken report usage metrics are gone power BI comments are gone integration with Synapse Analytics is broken e-mail subscriptions on the reports are broken alerts on Card/Gauge visual are broken everything else I forgot about is broken!  Let it be very clear: the impact of deleting just a simple report/dataset can be huge. Huge work in fixing stuff, huge in disruption for the business with a many power BI users. When using a combo chart, I tried to apply a conditional color to the bars. This works fine and the bars appear colored correctly. However, the legend then shows the wrong color (in this case blue, the first color in the Power BI theme color palette.) This makes it really confusing for the user since the legend shows a color that's not even on the chart.   In the first screenshot, I manually set the column color to yellow, prior to enabling conditional formatting:   Then I apply conditional formatting with a rule. Adding conditional formatting to dynamically format the color of the x- or y-axis labels does not work. In the screenshot below, note that the conditional formatting applied to the Y-Axis of the bar chart should change the axis value color to pink only if the [Total Amount] is greater than 100. Hello, Seems facing issue with Power BI Desktop latest version Aug 2024, as i am not able to open any report and getting the below error.  encounter the same thing in its entirety. Some of the Total Labels in my stacked column chart are not adhering to the dynamic formatting rules (but standard data labels are working correctly.) After the Nover 11 2024 update occurred,  all my projects are giving me a circular dependency errors when I first open them.  The Projects still open, but I have no clue what I might need to fix or what this is affecting.  I believe it may have to do with a DAX calculated date table using CALENDARAUTO(), but not 100% sure - An example of the error is shown below.    I rolled back to October update and everything opens fine, no errors.
