Axis value color conditional formatting not working

Adding conditional formatting to dynamically format the color of the x- or y-axis labels does not work. In the screenshot below, note that the conditional formatting applied to the Y-Axis of the bar chart should change the axis value color to pink only if the [Total Amount] is greater than 100. However it applies the pink color to all axis values.

This has been a bug since conditional formatting for visual elements was added across the board. The rationale explained in other forum posts is that the label does not have filter context, but this seems like a scape goat as it should have as much filter context as the actual chart data point itself.

Hi  @NarWind ,

Based on the above information, this is a reproducible issue. I would suggest opening a support ticket and the ticket support engineer will feed this back to the product team for further investigation.

if you are a Power BI Pro or Fabric licensee, you can create a support ticket for free and a dedicated Microsoft engineer will come to solve the problem for you. 
It would be great if you continue to share in this issue to help others with similar problems after you know the root cause or solution.

Hi @Anonymous - thank you for the reply. Is this a new process? In the past I have posted Power BI bugs on this forum and your team was able to pass them on to the product team. Following up, after submitting a support ticket with Microsoft, the product team confirmed this behavior is by design and there's no current plan to alter it.
