Issue Description We are experiencing an issue with Text Input Slicers in Power BI Service where the slicer value does not reset when using bookmarks or the Clear All Slicers option. Observed Behavior A user types a value into a Text Input Slicer (e.g., MRN). Clicking a Reset/Clear bookmark visually clears the slicer. When the user interacts with the slicer again, the previously typed value automatically reappears. This behavior occurs only in Power BI Service. The same report works correctly in Power BI Desktop. Expected Behavior Text Input Slicer values should fully reset when a reset bookmark or Clear All action is applied. After reset, the slicer should not retain or reapply previously typed values. Additional Notes This issue affects all reports using text-based slicers (e.g., MRN, Account Number). Dropdown slicers work as expected and reset correctly. This behavior appears to have started after a recent Microsoft Fabric / Power BI Service update. The issue is not related to report design, bookmark configuration, or persistent filter settings. Business Impact Prevents reliable Reset Filters functionality. Causes user confusion when old values reappear. Forces redesign of production reports to avoid text input slicers. Current Workaround Replace Text Input Slicers with Dropdown slicers, which reset correctly. Request for Clarification Could someone from the Power BI / Fabric product team please confirm whether this behavior is by design or a known issue planned to be addressed? A couple of days ago we noticed an issue with our Azure maps in reports published via public to web. The map will load like below but without any data points mapped. The only way to get it to load is to switch from using data such as postcodes or street addresses in the 'location' input, to using the 'latitude' and 'longitude' inputs instead.   I tried this on various devices and internet connections and kept getting the same issue.   We think this indicates an issue with publish to web reports not being able to lookup related mapping coordinates to the provided location field? Hello everyone, I’m facing an issue with the Azure Maps visual in Power BI after this new update and I’d appreciate any help or insights. I added a reference layer to an Azure Maps visual. In Power BI Desktop, the reference layer behaves as expected: the transparency works correctly, allowing me to clearly see the base Azure Maps content behind it (street names, places, establishments, etc.). However, after publishing the report to Power BI Service (web), the same reference layer appears as if its transparency were 0% (fully opaque). As a result, it completely hides the underlying Azure Maps details, such as street names and other map information. Has anyone experienced a similar issue with Azure Maps visuals behaving differently between Desktop and Service? Hi, Note: Issue noticed in unreleased July 2025 edition of PBI Desktop.   I m using Field Parameters on Rows of the Matrix and trying to provide dynamic selection for the users. However, the functionality stops after making slicer selection a couple of times and expand/ drill down buttons no longer works.   For the selection as shown in snapshot below, I would expect the user to expand and see Col2 and Col3 in the matrix visual. However.  no matter how many times you click, its not possible to expand. It is not dependent on the order of selection of columns or layout configuration in use. A huge range of app use cases don’t involve the Power BI homepage at all, so why do we need a button that takes you “back” there? In my own tenant, only a small percent of users ever discover the button — and when they do, it usually causes confusion. Most of our audience comes in through our company intranet or a saved bookmark directly to the app. Hitting “Go back” takes them somewhere unfamiliar (Power BI home) and disrupts their workflow. This could be fixed with one of two approaches: Let admins remove or hide the button entirely Or at least rename it to something clearer like “Power BI Home” so expectations match what it does Either way, making this change would help avoid confusion and keep users focused on the content that matters most: the app itself. ... This has just started happening in the Power BI Service. I'm using the new list slicer and have specified dimensions in Power BI Desktop for each button to be a certain height. This is completely ignored in the Service with some buttons tiny and unreadable and others huge and taking up most of the screen. Please advise when a fix will be deployed.  ... View more

Hello,   I posted this in the help section of the community, but I believe it is a bug with the most recent update (October 2023).   I routinely export desktop PBI reports to PDF for sharing in newsletters. Today, for some reason, when I exported to PDF, only about the top left quarter of each page is exported instead of the full page.    I have attempted exporting multiple different reports, closing and re-opening Power BI, and restarting my computer to no avail. Nothing in my report has changed other than refreshing the data. Each page is the default 16:9 720x1280 size.   I was able to successfully export from a report published to the online workspace, but not desktop. A (new) card visual displaying an URL image looks off when I publish the report. Hello Team,   This has been observed that semantic models shared between different directories under the same tenant appears under All Tab and not under External Tab. In Power BI desktop, when we switch directory and Get Data-->Semantic model, it shows all the semantic models under All Tab including those of different directory. We request for a feature where semantic models shared across different directories appear under External tab. Hello,   Since changing my apps to the new app experience that came out on August 24th, 2022 I'm unable to update my apps. Has anyone else noticed any bugs with the new card visual since the March 25 update?  I had some cards with the values switched off that are now suddenly showing.  Although they are switched off in the desktop app build they inadvertently get switched back on in the service after publishing and my existing reports all have values now on where they should be off.   I have had to edit directly in the service to get this sorted which is a real pain to do. ...
