ISSUE: The following code return 2,230,015: SELECT MAX([Index]) FROM FACT_RWS; But after sorting the index column in descending mode in the LH table view, we get a smaller number: 2,169,352. Even though the view only shows 1,000 rows, I am assuming that when sorting in descending order, it would return the top 1,000, that is, from the highest or max number down to the 1,000th lower number, just like on a SQL Server instance. But it does not.

ISSUE: upon clicking on the ... menu to the right of a column, and after selecting Sort Descending, the UI displays and up arrow instead of a down arrow. Choose Sort descending again, and now you get the correct display:

I recently started working with PowerBI for the first time. Most things seemed to go smoothly, then suddenly my report started acting weird overnight. A couple of mornings ago I opened my laptop and saw that it was updating, sure. But when I opened powerBI again to continue on an assignment, all my graphs that uses [D Time].[Calendar Year] as a filter stopped working. Whenever I apply a year filter all the data from a graph/table just dissapears, even if it's supposed to have data in that year. I tried reinstalling PowerBI, I cleared every cache, deleted all existing files. I tried fully disabling firewall, This didn't fix it. I then ported all my files (ssms database scripts, visual studio project, powerbi report) to my pc, and there it works perfectly. After working on my PC I again tried porting everything back to my laptop to check if it works, but alas, the year filter still messed everything up. I'm connected to a localhost database with live connection with the latest version of PowerBI PC: Laptop: As you can see it has data without filters:

Hi there, I have recently come across a bug that seems to be across all our Power BI reports and affects multiple chart types (Line & Stacked Column, 100% Stacked Column, and Stacked Area 100% confirmed). Taking one report as an example: I have a Custom Date table, marked as a date table within my model. In my report canvas I have a slicer based on a Year-Quarter-Month date hierarchy, and the aforementioned chart types using the date field on the x-axis, with continuous as the type, expanded to month level. When unfiltered, the x-axis labels appear as expected: When filtering for year, everything is still as expected: However, it gets weird at Quarterly and Monthly levels, BUT, only when January or Q1 is selected. Any other quarter or month shows as expected: -Incorrect labelling on Q1 or Jan: -Correct Labelling for other Quarters/Months: If the issue was consistent, then I would accept the problem being my data model, but given the inconsistency, it must be on the MS side. Please may you investigate? FYI, I am based in the UK region. Thanks!

Issue Description: Upon attempting to archive a file in Power BI while signed in with my admin account, the application consistently crashes. This issue arises specifically when I need to archive the file first before publishing, as this step requires my "normal" account connected to OneDrive and this PC. Steps to Reproduce: Sign in to Power BI using the admin account. Open the desired Power BI file. Attempt to archive the file before publishing. Power BI crashes unexpectedly. Additional Context: My organization mandates the use of a separate admin account for connecting to the database and publishing online. The crash occurs during the saving process and this new built in one drive interface, which requir my "normal" account connected to onedrive and this PC. No error message, program is just shut down. When using the New KPI slicer as a column or grid with 1 column, x rows, the button height is not maintained but rather auto adjusted based on the number of buttons and the size of the widget. I want the size of the buttons to remain the same all the time. This was working as I expected until Feb 22, when noticed a change in behaviour. Did anything change?

I have a datamart that normally takes around 30 minutes to refresh. This morning the refresh started taking over an hour and keeps failing. Since yesterday, using a DB with Ciclet Slicer version 2.1.10, we see the text label in the desktop version while in the web service version the text disappears completely or partially.

I found a typo at Reference line option in Report on Power BI Desktop. '참조선' should be translated '중간 선'. Please refer to the image below for Power BI Desktop version.

Hello, I'm encountering the following issue with external user access to our reports generated in Microsoft Power BI. The scenario is as follows: I've two workspaces in Power BI. One was created approximately two years ago, and the other was created just a couple of months ago. Each workspace is dedicated to a different audience. Each external user has been created in Azure AD and is associated with an Azure AD security group. The reports within the first workspace (created a while ago) are functioning correctly for their users. However, the reports within the more recent workspace are returning an error and cannot be viewed. The security groups have read access to their respective workspaces. Any ideas?? I already received two cases of data that were exported as Summarized data with live connection to Excel. But when they tried to refresh, it worked at first glance. Excel did not inform any problem as the data were refreshed, but when comparing the data, it was not refreshed. Some data was missing that in the service was clearly present. When exporting again the data that was consider missing was present and fine. This problem was perceived the last week. The two cases I had were people that have been using this format of exporting and refreshing without problems. Both different tables, from different report and different workspaces.

Suppose I collect and organize my Measure into display folders under a table. I have the following general structure: "Top Level Folder" and under that "Bottom Level Folder 1" and "Bottom Level Folder 2" where the two Bottom Level folders are children of the Top Level. I right-click on one of the Bottom Level folders and select "New Measure". Result: Instead of adding that new measure to the Bottom Level folder in play, it CREATES a NEW folder named "Bottom Level Folder 1" that is a sibling of the Top Level folder. I have to go back to the Model View, find the new Measure, and specify the Display Folder property as "Top Level Folder\Bottom Level Folder 1" to get it moved to the proper sub-folder. I see this as a bug.

Need your assistance on my problem. I have already renamed the Subtotal Label to "Average" in my Matrix as shown below: However, every time I export to Excel from the PBI Service (after publishing this to the workspace), the subtotal label always returns back to "Total". I have updated to Dec 2023 PBI update but I still am getting this same error. Thanks!

I was heading to here https://app.powerbi.com/groups/me/gateways to input Authentication so I can setup refresh schedule. But after input, the Save button is not working, not even a warning sign to show what's wrong. Please help me on fixing this or is there any other way to input authentication and setup refresh schedule? Why PBI not embed this information when published btw.

No issue with refresh history or gateway I'm having an issue where the visual doesnt automatically update the values when dataset is refreshed. I need to click on the refresh visual option for the visual to provide the updated value This is on PowerBi service

On a number of occassions we have seen some of our report tiles on our dashboard reverting to a previous refresh. We have spotted it a few times on different reports, however it has re-occured today with a direct query report. This report refreshed every 15 minutes and I have seen the correct sales displayed throughout this morning. At 13.36pm GMT the tiles reverted to showing the values from 9am GMT this morning: I have check the refresh logs for this particular report and can see that it was refreshing successfully all morning: I was able to refresh the tiles and correct the issue, but I've incidents of users not realising there is an issue and using the wrong figures. Has anyone else seen this and is there a way to prevent this?
