Encountered this error while attempting to open the data source in Power BI Desktop today.

 

Error Message:
A connection cannot be made. Ensure that the server is running.

Hi  @Muniba 

What is your data source ? How did you connect to the data source ? Were you able to connect to this data source properly before ? Did you do an update to your Power BI Desktop?
