Security in Fabric

Hello,

I just need to make sure not to share confidential data with anyone.

My plan is to use Fabric items also for an upload of the files (using a shortcut of sharpoint files). I am about to uplod them to the Lakehouse within the workspace of which I am the only admin (and currently no one else has any type of access in mentioned workspace). And I would like to use medailone architecture, experiment a bit with fabric platform. The data are not somehow trackable or analysible in Azure, right? Or creation of RLS and sharinig workspace with some viewers would also secure the data just for the specific people (viewers) with ability to see only specific data enabled for them via RLS? Right?

If any clarification needed please do not hesitate and request additional information.

thank you!

Hi @Lu_up ,

I can provide some general guidance on data security in Azure. To keep your data secure, you can use role-based access control (RBAC) to grant access to specific users or groups within your workspace. You can also use row-level security (RLS) to restrict access to specific data within your reports and dashboards. By using RLS, you can ensure that viewers only see the data that they are authorized to view. It's important to note that while Azure provides many security features, it's ultimately up to you to ensure that your data is properly secured. You should always follow best practices for data security, such as using strong passwords, encrypting sensitive data, and regularly monitoring your environment for potential security threats.

If you would like to know more about these and you are a Power BI Pro or Fabric licensee, you can create a support ticket for free and a dedicated Microsoft engineer will come to solve the problem for you.
It would be great if you continue to share in this issue to help others with similar problems after you know the root cause or solution.
