Can not save Data Connection setting (Save button not working!)

I was heading to here https://app.powerbi.com/groups/me/gateways to input Authentication so I can setup refresh schedule. But after input, the Save button is not working, not even a warning sign to show what's wrong. Please help me on fixing this or is there any other way to input authentication and setup refresh schedule? Why PBI not embed this information when published btw.

Hi @Kiv 

According to your description, I added an Excel related gateway inside Manage gateways, then I clicked create and that gateway was created successfully. Then I renamed the gateway and the save button appeared, which I clicked to re-save.

I then modified this gateway with the wrong credentials and the gateway could not be saved and displayed an error message.

So the feature is currently working, if it's not operational on your end, can you provide more information for reference and testing?

My connection is MySQL. This is the first time I published on Power BI Service. First I checked the credential and refresh greyed out, then I go to gateway page to input authentication, but I can' save it, nothing happened after clicked Save button, no error message also. I also tried Incognito browser but still same issue.

Hi, any news on this? I have the exact same issue. I need to add credentials for a sharepointlist. The Connection name was already populated, but I had to add information about Authentication metod and Privacey level. But when I click Save nothing happens.

Hi, Just wanted to let everyone know that I manage to solve this by downloading the gateway (https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/gateway/)

How did you resolve this? Having the same exact issue.

Not sure how downloading the gateway is a fix. I already have a gateway and connections are not managed through it.

It was some time ago, I really do not remember. It just started to work. Sorry for not being able to help.

I have the same problem.  I created a report in Power BI desktop (based on on-premises data), published to Power BI where I'm told I need to set up a connection via a data gateway (which I already have) - when I enter the auth details the Save button does nothing.  No warning, no error; just 'Do you want to discard your changes' when closing.  And of course the connection and report doesn't work.  Anywhere I can see an actual error message?

I have the same issue. Try to set Privacy Level to Organizational and the save button goes from greyd out to black. But it has absolut no effect clicking on it. I can see the slight color change of the button that you see when you click on a button but nothing happens. When you try to leave you are asked if you like to discard your changes. No I want to save them! Anyone found a solution to this?
