Hi to all, Just got the February 2020 version (Microsoft Store app) and got the error Unable to open document - We weren't able to restore the saved database to the model. Been looking around the community and options go from unninstalling and then reinstalling, did that but still same issue. Tried to install the February version standalone however the version available online for download is the December version (although says the upload was made in February 18th) everything works normally but it's not comparable. Also read that for some previous versions were this happened there was a new install version that solved the issue. Thanks for the attention. Miguel Felix

Hi, Our team is facing issues trying to update the Power BI App. I've published a dashboard via Power BI Desktop to our workspace The report has been added via Content Tab and unhide it in the Audience Tab. Good morning, After Power BI Desktop March update, we are experiencing error message "Column [X] cannot be pushed to the remote data source and cannot be used in this scenario". When the report is opened on Februari 2023 Desktop, it works, in March 2023 desktop it gives an error. The calculated column contains the DAX function "today()". A calculated column like 'New Calculated column = 1' works. But with DAX Fcuntion Today() not. Can this be researched? Kind regards, Lohic Beneyzet

Hi Community, I'm encountering a challenging situation I created pivot table in excel files connected to powerbi data reopening the file to refresh them is see that they are not "recognized" as live pivot table anymore when I try to click on a filter i get the following message "this pivottable was created in a later version of excel and can't be updated in this version." any idea how to resolve this ?

If while using Power BI Desktop you rename a page tab and whilst doing so use the delete key on your keyboard, Power BI will bring up a prompt asking whether you wish to delete the whole page. This is a frustrating bug as the delete key is a useful key when altering text. Bug is still present in release Version: 2.82.5858.1161 64-bit (June 2020) Bug first started occuring earlier this year.

When creating a new metric on a scorecard, I set the due date to be a certain date (12/15/2022 in the below example): When I "Save" the metric and open up multiple targets, the due date is set to 12/30/22. No matter what I set as the Due Date at the start, it always defaults to exactly 1 month from today. This means anyone viewing the metric trend with Show targets activated will see the incorrect Due Date (see below). As a business user, I need to be able to set the due date when I create the metric and see this accurately reflected in the underlying data.

We have an issue that we have been unable to resolve after multiple attempts. Each time a Power BI Desktop instance is opened, the user is required to authenticate two times. Users are all using AWS. We have cleared permissions for each data source and cleared the gloabl cache. We are using the following: Power BI Desktop Version: 2.118.828.0 64-bit (June 2023) AWS Version: 5.8.0.4065 Is this a known issue or is there a solve?

Hello, When creating a new or changing a current working dataflow with a Exasol certified connector. The refresh fails with "Expression.Error: The import Exasol.Database matches no exports. Did you miss a module reference?". It does work in the designer mode. This is preventing us from maintenance and new development using our datawarehouse. Please give us advice on solving this problem. I have some queries againt a Postregre Database, and prewiew in Power Query works fine, but when when I try to update it fail with this error message: Apply query changes" Queries Metadata: Failed to save modifications to the server. Error returned: 'An unexpected error occurred (file 'tmsavepointvalidation.cpp', line 458, function 'TMSavePoint::VerifyProxyCreationAllowed'). I have never seen this error before... May be it has to do with the new feature enhanced metadata format? Reagards!

Hi, I built a Datamart on top of Dataflow (Source = PowerPlatform.Dataflows([])). When I add a column to the Dataflow, Publish and refresh it, nothing changes into the Datamart nor the default Dataset of the Datamart ! The added column is not in the Datamart. To see the update in the Datamart and its default Dataset, I had to open Power Query of the Datamart and refresh all the Applied steps one by one (Query settings) and Save it. My new added column is now in the default dataset. Is this a normal behavior?

For the past week now, all my reports that are using the Azure Cost Management data tables are failing with the error: Data source error: Expression.Error: <pii>We cannot convert a value of type Binary to type Function.</pii>. ;We cannot convert a value of type Binary to type Function.. Since yesterday we started to get a message in our embedded report of Power Bi the message says This is a free trial version. To remove this tag, a capacity must be purchased. But we have always used it that way, we have a PRO account and with that emebebemos the reports, these only started to come out yesterday.

Hi, Recently all of my dataflows that connect to sharepoint lists as their data sources have started to fail the refresh because of a connection timeout after 30 minutes. This is happening to every dataflow we have that uses a sharepoint connector, even the very small data sources. Error: DataSource.Error: SharePoint: Request failed: The operation has timed out Request ID: 8c5ea314-e747-4407-ba27-9cde41b38337 Activity ID: 7b194910-5641-479f-9a64-e486859150f0 We have not made any changes to the dataflows, but the refresh time went from completing within 10 minutes to now timing out and failing after about 30 minutes. I got an on demand refresh to finally work yesterday but it also took nearly 2 hours to complete. I have tried refreshing my data credentials, but that hasn't changed anything. We really need this performance to go back to what it was becasue its impacting critical business reporting

Hi All, None of Power BI reports are loading, it just shows blank page for all users. Power BI Service status page shows all green though. Anyone else facing this issue today? Its a hue impact to our businesss users as they are not able to get their daily reports. Is there anyway to escalate this issue to Power BI support team, so it gets required attention. For last one month the service has not been stable, either issue with scheduled refresh/report loading.etc.,

Hi, When using a single select slicer and publishing to the web it, it does not snap to the first value in the list but keeps the default, even if the default no longer exists. The power bi desktop forces you to select a default value, which when published to the web and having one report serving many customers with RLS may not be relevent. Therefore reports appear blank until a new value is selected, whereby the default disappears from the list. We need the single select slicer to be able to clear the default selection and snap to the first in the list, this used to be the behaviour and it must have changed recently. Until this happens the single select slicer is not useable for enterprise solutions with many customers and RLS. Thanks

This is becoming a very big pain point for me.... It is crucial that my colors stay consistent throughout my report, However, the colors will change in the service!! Below image shows what I have set in Desktop. Below shows what is in the Service. Even when I try to re-publish my desktop report. The colors won't match. I have to completely delete the report from my service, then publish. And even then it only lasts a day before the colors are changed. You will notice, it is all the same colors in both charts.... However, they are just taking different priorities.... In Desktop, I have the magenta line as top priority, but in the Service, it doesn't follow that. Please, please, please fix this. There are so many threads about this, that have supposedly been resolved, but the issue is not resolved.

Hi there, My report was running without problem before yesterday 24/11/2021, but somehow, from yesterday, my report will zoom in and get bigger font size when clicking or hoving mouse on the line chart. please see below screen shot, first one is normal and expected one, but the second one is incorrect. thanks in advance.
