Please add an option to the Power BI Matrix visual to show the "Total Column" as the first column instead of the last column. For the "Row Totals" this options is already available.

Our team has encountered an issue with reports generated through Semantic Models utilizing direct Query tables to AWS Snowflake. Until last week, these reports were executing without any problems. However, recently, users have been unable to view their reports due to an error message stating, "Couldn't load the data for this visualDuplicate values are detected from data source. If it's a DirectQuery model, please make sure data source collation is consistent with this Analysis Services model." Upon investigation, we have verified that there are no duplicate values in the data source. We are reaching out to seek your advice on this matter. Additionally, we would like to inquire if there have been any recent changes in the service that might be causing this issue.

Users are able to select a "Many to Many" relationship from the Data Modeling Properties panel, even though Many to Many is not supported in Report Server and not available from the Edit Relationship box. If a user selects "Many to Many" from the Properties panel, saves and closes their file, they will not be able to open their file again. yesterday (15th of Nov) around 3.44 pm cte we started the refreshes of the dataflows which got stuck in the "in progress" status until now (~20h). There is no possibility to cancell or restart the refreshes since the button ends with the error: "something went wrong, please contact support". Is there anyone else also experiencing this issue and found the workaround maybe?

Hi, I am using PowerBI Destktop and Azure Databricks connector and followed all steps posted online (using the connection details from Databricks cluster) We encountered an error while trying to connect to the databricks Details: "ODBC: ERROR [HY000] [Microsoft][ThriftExtension] (14) Unexpected response from server during a HTTP connection: Could not resolve host for client socket.." Any suggestions here will be really helpful

Hello, I have created a Power Report which connects to a MySQL datasource by using a SQL Query to fetch specific columns within my database. This report and its dataset live on a premium workspace within my company's intranet, previously I went and manually refresh the dataset to the report since it is suppose to have a daily refresh, to automate this action I recure to the Power Automate cloud workflows, which have built-in interactions with Power BI and set a recurrence workflow to: refresh the dataset from the workspace at an specific time per CST, run a query against it to generate a csv table and store it on a public sharepoint folder. Once I manually test the workflow it succeeds and allows me to apply it accordingly, however when it runs on the scheduled timeframe I can see that is retrieving an error message on credentials: Even upon manual refresh, when I go to the published report on the workspace and update the visuals it obtains the last dataset obtained prior to the failed refresh. There is a similar thread already around the refresh failure on scheduled recurrences: Error on scheduled refresh; Dynamic 365 was used to gather all datasets per the idea's-owner inputs, so the suggested solution for the thread will not solve my issue since the datasource values at the advanced editor are defined as next: let Source = MySQL.Database("mysql-string.domain.com", "DB_MySQL", [ReturnSingleDatabase=true, Query="SELECT (...)") in Source I have check the connection credentials to the MySQL database and everything is working if no scheduled refresh is implemented, thus I'm able to manually refresh the dataset and reload the visuals. What could be possibly the problem for the schedule to not authenticate the credentials?

Hi there, I realize that simmilar issue has been resolved here: https://community.fabric.microsoft.com/t5/Issues/Subscription-mails-not-recieved/idi-p/3423707 Emails are coming through now as they should , however problem seems to persist with subscriptions with PDF report attachments. I tried to : - generate them manualy - waited for hours for them to come through - tried it on smaller files (even big ones didn't have trouble a week ago) - tried to export just a simple 1 page report - reuploaded reports that used to work fine none of the above solved issue - thought it might have something to do with our company security settings , but to my knowledge they didnt change anything , not to mention other emails are coming through, even ones with .png attachments Any idea what to do with it ? Thanks in adavance.. (Slovakia, premium per capacity license)

In the Visualizations panel of my report in the Power BI desktop app, I set a particular column to show items with no data. The report data shows as expected in app.powerbi.com. However, when I go to More Options > Export Data and click Summarized data, and then select .xlsx with live connection, the generated file doesn't include the rows with the blank cells like it does in app.powerbi.com. Those rows are included when export using the Data with current layout option or non-live .xlsx connection option. However, we would really benefit from the .xlsx with the live connection. Hi, I am trying to view my PBI report usage report. However, it seems like I can't change the end date (7/10/2023 - 8/10/2023). and this date is familiar to me because I did generate one a few weeks ago. Is there way to delete old one and re-generate the report so I can find out the usage metrics? I think I must miss something.

The Adobe Analytics Power BI connector 2.0 was working perfectly fine but just last week it started to return the error "The field 'name' of the record wasn't found.". My all published reports stopped refreshing overnight.

Hi, I'm having trouble giving users access to datasets. I have a published app and they were given App,Build access. I have also given them direct access to the dataset (Manage access - Direct access) Read,Build. They are still unable to access the dataset I have published. Am I missing something? Someone else in another team had the same issue, when giving me access to their dataset. They also tried giving me Viewer access to the workspace but that didn't work and in the end had to give me Contributor access to their workspace, bearing in mind, I don't need access to their workspace and reports as our team has a separate workspace - we only needed to connect to their dataset. Is there a better way to share datsets between teams/workspaces without giving them access to the workspace? I don’t want to have to give users Contributor access to our workspace, where there are other confidential reports shared to a specific audiance in the app only.

Trying to open Power BI desktop and seeing this error: 'A Connection cannot be made. Ensure that the server is running' I am not trying to access a particular file just open POWER BI desktop in general, but seeing this on each attempt. Help! Anyone know how to resolve this?

My dataset is not refreshing on server. It keeps spining for hours. I was able to refresh without issues in Desktop but when publishing same issue happens, datasets keeps on spinning. Is there any known issue happening in Power BI Server? Thank you

Both "Submit an issue" and Submit an idea" points to Microsoft fabrics homepage instead of the actual Issues or Ideas forums. It is not an easy thing to find the actual Issues forums from the Microsoft Fabrics homepage. Why are we having 2 buttons that point tot the same place which is not the place you want to post your ideas/issues? Or is there a bigger picture here?

Trying the preview feature - once the file has been saved to the PBIB project format, "Publish" is not available. You have to resave it as the standard file format and then publish. It's likely at some point you will forget to save as Project file, get out of sync with the project (and version control) with changes made only in the standard format. Save is required before every publish, so that should be done in project format, then the publish process should automatically convert the file back to pbix and publish that, if the service cannot handle the PBIB format yet.
