If I cancel a session in one notebook and start a new session in another, I get the error message that I don't have enough capacity (even though no session should be active). I have a raw data table with over 30+ columns. I am using that to build PowerBI report with multiple chart visuals and matrix visuals. Each of these visual have multiple rows. Upon clicking 'Show data point as table', upon on the bar in the chart or one of the value in matrix visual, I am able to remove irrelavant columns and define the sorting order. However, I have then do that again for each value and each row. Not humanly possible. Is there an option to apply my column selection and sorting to all the values of the given widget for the option of 'Show data point as table', while continuing to use the same source raw data table? ... Created a duplicate table in Tabular Editor 3 and created a relationship (ie parent child). In PowerBI web refreshed the semantic model and seemed to work but upon trying to add more tables would give something went wrong error. I have created a set of reports with data source in workspace A and use one of the report as semantic model as powerbi data source. As the all report filter has different choices for the users, I use apps to have an easy view for the users and share the link to let the users to use the report through the apps. As I have another group of users(Level 2 users) that can access less pages or sensitive information and I still need to use apps to share the report with them, I created workspace B by copying the report from workspace A and still using the same semantic model in workspace A. I set the security and permission for all the users correctly and share the apps link with them, all of them get the below error message Even in any other browsers or tried many any other methods, the level 2 users are getting the same error. Finally I got the solution, when the user click to any link to access one of the report in workspace B, then go back to the apps. The apps is fine to use afterwards. Hi, I get this correct results for the first time - then I published immediately   after 20 mins, without forcing any Refresh it turns to    While I try to force refresh and get back the first value. It cannot do though. The source files locates in internal share drive.   Publish version, although the summarize value is correct, but exporting the file, there're lots of duplicate which desktop doesn't have.   Please help and advice. I have a two stage deployment pipeline, one workspace for UAT and one for PRD. The workspace contains two dataflows, A & B. Dataflow B uses entities from dataflow A. When I deploy these dataflows from UAT to PRD, dataflow B is still pointing at Dataflow A in UAT instead of Dataflow A in PRD.   If I enable loading of an entity from Dataflow A in Dataflow B creating a linked entity, the dataflow linkage is correctly updated and is not pointing at Dataflow A in PRD. However, if I leave it simply as a reference entity from Dataflow A, the linkage is not updated when deployed.   This seems like a bug that should be fixed.  I cannot come up with a reasonable explanation why it would work this way be design. Adding a new semantic model and report from PBi Desktop to PBi Service, I now get this error in settings for the workspace under Semantic models.  I have no issues connecting or updating from PBi Desktop, only in service.  All data is connected through Gen1 Dataflows to the semantic model.  This is a problem as I can no longer set incremental refresh for the semantic model in service.  This has never happened in the past for any work I have done in PBi Service.  To test different troubleshooting scenerios for example, I created a Gen2 dataflow and connected it to PBi Desktop, created a simple report with it all, uploaded to a fresh workspace in PBi Service, and still have the same issue.  The dataflows are created from Sharepoint csv's (cloud).  Any help would be appreciated.     ... Hi,   This morning, one of our report using a direct lake model was down. Each visuals were not rendering. The see details button provided the folowing description of the error :  Error fetching data for this visual Unexpected parquet exception occurred. Class: 'ParquetStatusException' Status: 'IOError' Message: 'Encountered Azure error while accessing lake file, StatusCode = 404, ErrorCode = , Reason = Not Found' Please try again later or contact support. If you contact support, please provide these details.   I did resolve this issue by simply opening the data model, opening the edit table modal window, and closing it by clicking on the confirm button. Hi,   We have a service account with UPN for tool automation. It is having required permissions ADO and PowerBI Pro license etc. It is failing connecting odata feed, I am trying from PowerBI Desktop to retrieve WorkItems snapshot.       I am able to login to ADO using the same service account and I am able to view the queries in the analytics section in UI. Since a few days ago we are unable to use "export data" feature when visual calculations are used. Everything was working correctly until the end of last week.   We have the latest version of Power BI Desktop installed. This feature doesn't work even when reports with visual calculations are created online in the browser. Hello Team,   I've complained about this before and was told "It's working as designed." If this is the case, the design is flawed.   It's 2024, and still the ability to paste a list into a slicer and sync across all tabs is not a standard capability of Power BI blows my mind. We could do this with Qlik ten years ago. Without a standard feature, we resort to custom visuals -- Mass Filter and Filter by List. Both were working just find for a couple years, syncing across tabs. Well, something changed earlier this year and they no longer sync across pages.   Team, my users often need to paste hundreds of values into a slicer, and I'm sure many companies are the same in this regard. We are left with pasting a list into Mass Filter and then once the page is filtered to these values, clicking boxes in the standard slicer one by one by one hundreds of times. So the standard slicer filters throughout the entire report.   Since this is such a waste of time and in Power BI features are always changing, I thought I'd take another stab at looking for a workaround only to become extremely frustrated.   I decided to try Select All again, but it sucks because it provides absolutely no value.   Here are the steps: 1. Paste a list of customer IDs into the Mass filter on one tab. 2. On the same tab, I go to the standard customer ID slicer and click Select All. Good, now the standard slicer, which syncs across pages has only the customer IDs I want to filter to. 3. However, when I visit another tab in the report, ALL customer IDs are selected. What is the point of this? The behavior is the same as if no values were selected. Default is ALL.   Okay, let's try something else. I've seen Microsoft posts about how Select All is meant to be used to look at a set of data and EXCLUDE values. So then I try this approach: 1. Paste a list of customer IDs into the Mass filter on one tab, including an actual customer ID I do NOT need. 2. On the same tab, I go to the standard customer ID slicer and click Select All. 3. On this same tab now in the standard customer ID slicer I UNCHECK the customer ID that I do not need. Good, now the standard slicer, which syncs across pages, has only the customer IDs I want to filter to. 4. However, when I visit another tab in the report, ALL customer IDs are selected (I mean, ALL, not all I selected in Mass Filter, but literally ALL of our customer IDs), except for the single one I unselected.  Microsoft Team, please take some good action on this.
