I've had a recurring problem where dynamic titles don’t work in dashboardvisualizations while working fine on report pages. After doing some testing I’ve found out that the problem appears after using the editing details function in the dashboard menu. I’ve made a dashboard with two tiles with identical titles that show todays date in the title (in Dutch). In one of the titles I’ve changed the functionality in one of the titles via the edit details function. The next day the KPI details changed accordingly. The dynamic title however became static. The edited tile statically shows the posting date (red) and the unedited dynamically shows todays date (green). This is a problem because I need to edit the link type and have a dynamic title showing the date. The combination doesn’t work at this moment.

Hello, I've recently created an updated report that relies heavily on calculation groups, which has been mostly a positive change except for some minor issues., which are related to formatting. 1. Previously, we used the tornado graph (custom visual) to show results by gender and age. When calculation groups are in the report, the formatting for the data labels for these graphs becomes unavailable. Previously, it would show % signs but now this is not an option and only shows the result as a decimal. Is there a way to correct this? 2. Previously we used the tooltips option in visuals to help create a manual sort feature since Power BI visuals often don't have more granular options for sorting charts (Sorts on cumulative result instead of most recent results...Another feature that would be nice to have added). If my report uses calculation groups, the visual will no longer allow me to add a column to the tooltips field to help with the sorting. any advice on how to fix these two issues would be greatly appreciated.

I am having two issues that are basically making my whole data estate and data visualization processes within PowerBI completely inoperable. #1 - Anytime I try to open a PBIX I am met with the following error: "We weren't able to restore the saved database to the model". We have two users who have recently been rejected from viewing a report. Each time they try to access it they receive an error stating that they need a pro license to access it. Out of 235 users these two are the only ones receiving this error and nothing has changed with their accounts. Their roles are set to "Viewer" just like all other users, and the license has been applied to them through our Azure Power BI group. Can we get some assistance as to why this is happening?

Hi, I think I have found a bug in Scorecards. Basically, in a PBI report I have made a histogram which calculates a percentage over a total amount (either with a DAX formula or with the related option when right-clicking on the value and choosing "show value as"-->"percentage of total" -or whatever it is called, I do not have the English language set). The graph shows for example 3 bars with 40%, 30% and 30%. However, when I select these bars in Scorecard, the only option given is 100%. Cheers.

Hello, Today, i have witnessed the longest time elapse for a dataflow refresh. Scheduled refreshes from last night are still loading up until morning, with more than 6 hours of refresh which should only take 5-10 minutes in normal condition. Is there an outage for dataflows at the moment? Hoping for an immediate answer. Thanks!

With the introduction of datamarts, Get Dataflows in Group REST method has incomplete response data returned for datamarts. Name and Description are missing. If this is method is how we will determine what data flows are inthe tenant, then we need a type added. Or we need a new method for obtainin datamart info. This unfortunately broke my code with the missing elements. Thanks

I have a published Power BI dataset that I'm using for both Power BI Desktop and Power BI paginated reports - both published to the Power BI service. The data source for the dataset is Dataverse. There are Image URL fields that correctly display the images in the Power BI Desktop report (published to the service). These same Image URL fields do not display in a Power BI paginated report built on the same exact published dataset. The following error occurs on the paginated report: Unable to load image This report makes use of an external image which is not a supported format or MIME type. Please contact the report author to update this report and image (Image1). Since it is the same dataset and it works for the reports built in Power BI Desktop but not for the reports built in Power BI Report Builder, maybe it's a bug?

A large contiguous group of counties in central Indiana are not being displayed in any of my filled maps in PBI Desktop. They are fine in PBI Service, but not on desktop. I know it is not just the specific report, because all of my reports have this issue. Likely a weird bug that needs to be fixed in an updated release. I have my "County" field set as a county style and the format is specified so it always picks the correct county (in Indiana, not in another state): e.g., "Marion County, IN" instead of just "Marion" or "Marion County." The counties that won't display are Johnson, Morgan, Marion, Hendricks, Boone, Hamilton, Hancock, Madison, Delaware, and Henry. (Note: I have also checked to make sure it wasn't an issue with my fill color settings on the maps, and it is not.)

In PowerPoint how do we trust Microsoft Power BI add-in? When we currently add a page from a report into PowerPoint all works fine. But if close and open PowerPoint we are prompted to trust the add-in. When we do this then the report page disappears, and we have to re-paste the link. Any ideas on how to resolve it?

I want to load the data into my report. In the preview view in the editor mode, data is also displayed. That means the connection to the database can be established in general. However, when I want to load the data, the update process stops at "Data is being loaded into the model". I have already tried everything. Uninstalled and reinstalled Power BI Desktop, used the latest version, re-established the connection, renewed the rights and restarted the PC. Now, unfortunately, I do not know what to do and I need help.

The dataset refresh stop functioning since 18th. Hi team, I was trying to view the automated status rules in the goals that live in a Premium Capacity workspace, but it keeps giving me error message. I am just a viewer role in the workspace. When I was trying to see the automated status rules for all the goals in the scorecard, it did not specifically told me that I don't have access but instead show me this error message as the screen shot. I am wondering whether because I am only a viewer in the workspace so I don't have the authorization to see the automated status rules (because my coworker who has the contributor role can see it no problem.), or there are some bugs going on with Power BI Goals. I really appreaicte all the help! As I am trying to help my team to migrate data into Power BI Goals for my organization. Thanks!

I have a Power BI Pro licnese and publish certain reports and/or refreshed reports already published. I tried to publish a report to a Workspace (refer time stamp below) and received the follwoign error log. The message also said that my report was published but the service was unable to refresh my dataset. In incremental refresh dataflow, you might realize that you need to change the culture to correctly read the decimals. However if you change this, it will *not* trigger a full refresh, and there's no simple way to trigger one. So basically you have to find some workaround to trigger it, such as adding a column or changing twice the incremental refresh policy. Quite frustrating.
