Hello!   Brief Architecture Summary: We have a SaaS solution with a web app and use Power BI Embedded for the Analytics. Users Interact with reports that are embedded within the webapp using App owns data. We enable self-service for clients using the Power BI REST Apis to allow them to upload, edit, and view reports. Each client has their own Web App, Azure Analysis Services Instance & Power BI Workspace.   Issue: When a client uploads a Paginated report Via our Web app, We enable this through the REST Api using Service Principal to get an embed token (recommended to use service principal in the Microsoft Documentation). The report embeds/Uploads successfully BUT will not display/render since the dataset is owned by the Service Principal once uploaded.   The only way to get around this is for the Power BI Service Admin to manually edit the dataset for this report and take over the credentials from the Service Principal. Then the report renders for the user. As an ISV serving many clients, manual steps like these are not sustainable at all.    We tried using a Master user to get an embed token but this fails to upload a Paginated RDL file with the error below.  {"error":{"code":"InvalidRequest","message":"Can not embed RDL report - d920b668-bbe9-4480-9fb3-5d370b3e28e6 with master user, must use Service principal"}} (Master User works to get embed tokens for normal PBIX files but not for RDL files)   I have heard that the Service Principal works this way "By Design" but it is a fundamental issue if we can get an embed token and upload using the Service Principal BUT not allow the report to render and display.    Please assist urgently with enabling a sustainable solution to get this process to work smoothly.   Thanks!   @v-chuncz-msft        ... Hello there, we're experiencing an issue with Google BogQuery when updating our own data. As you can see bellow, the error message is "Failed to save modifications to the server. Error returned: 'OLE DB or ODBC error: [DataSource.Error] ODBC: ERROR [42000] [Microsoft][BigQuery] (100) Error interacting with REST API: Access Denied: Project sys-30023166621631391667486733: User does not have bigquery.jobs.create permission in project sys-30023166621631391667486733.. We are using url filtering in Power Bi report embedded in my own portal as URL?filter=Table/Field eq 'value'. When we use “20190822_Dashboard_Test” as name of the Table (i.e.,  URL?filter=20190822_Dashboard_Test /Field eq 'value'), we found url filter is not working. But when we update the power bi report and changed the table name as “Dashboard_20190822_Test” the filter [URL?filter= Dashboard_20190822_Test /Field eq 'value'] is working properly. Hi Team,   I have created a web api which validates the http header and gives the response in Json format. I have added this api as a data source for a report in power bi desktop which is working fine. For some reason, dashboard lines are showing up on our Power BI dashboards embedded on the portal our clients use on the browser when hovering over the dashboard. We used Chrome, Edge, and Firefox to see if this problem persisted across browsers.   Below, you will see, we are hovering over a shape, but the element's borders are showing. This never happened before. Is this a problem on Power BI's side? It just happened today. We have no idea how to get rid of it. We have a setup which utilises the Pipeline api https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/rest/api/power-bi/pipelines/deploy-all to deploy a pipeline and at the same time update the app for the target workspace using the parameter "updateAppInTargetWorkspace". When embedding a Power BI Paginated report as App Owns Data (ISV) the built-in field User!UserID, which holds the username property of the identity element, is different when used in report paramenters compared to when it is used in the body.   Apparently the User!UserID when executed in the context of the paramenters pane holds the GUID of the SPN (App ID) and not the username property which is expected.   See an example here of a simple Paginated report where the body has a text box with the value set as an expression User!UserID. Same expression is used for the default value of the report paramenter but instead of holding 'DNK', which is the value of the username property in the identity element of the embed token, the default value of the parameter is set to the App ID (Guid of the app registration).    This cannot be right. It should support limiting available parameter values based on a dataset. But this is not possible as the User!UserID is always equal to the App ID when parsed from the parameter pane.   @AlonBAR and @chrisfin is this due to the fact that we are in preview, can this be accomplished through a workaround or will this be fixed in a future release?         ... We have had a series of executive reports that are being delivered daily using power automator that have suddenly strated failing in the last 5-6 days.  These reports have been running since late 2021 and there were no changes on our behalf.   It appears the steps to recreating this are as follows:   * Create a Power BI report, that uses directquery for power bi to use another report as a data service. * Publish this report (we are using a Preimium per capacity server) * Create a power automate job that uses "export to file" to export this report to a PPTX or PDF. * The job fails after multiple retries.   The Power Automator job reports the Power BI failure as "BadGateway". ... Dataset refreshes keep failing. Power BI is connected to Dynamics 365 through an API. It was working before but starting on Saturday December 7th, 2019 the refreshes kept failing and this error appeared. So, after the August update this feature stoped working. I have attached pics below for better understanding.    When i try to use the date filter> equals to > the date of today or any other date it is returning empty table, but the table is not empty.
