Good Day All, It is indeed surprising why excel/csv file with password protected is not able to import in power bi. If there is an option to enter the credentials , then lot of reports and dashboarding could be developed by using gateways for businnes by ensuring file secured in local drives. I request the users to support and microsoft team to birng some changes in connectors to highlight this isssue to be resolved . Thanks in advance

My Powers for Power BI environment not working on Power bi desktop Pro license. It was working till yesterday wherein i was able to add apps and create new apps. But since today morning the visualisation is blank and no option to create a new app or add app. My project is stuck because of this.

Dataset refreshes keep failing. Power BI is connected to Dynamics 365 through an API. It was working before but starting on Saturday December 7th, 2019 the refreshes kept failing and this error appeared. Can't seem to figure out how to fix it. OData: The feed's metadata document appears to be invalid. Error: A supported MIME type could not be found that matches the content type of the response. None of the supported type(s) 'application/xml' matches the content type 'application/json; odata.metadata=minimal'

Added new measures to the dataset, but when I refresh in Excel, those measures don't show up. If I create a new pivot and create a new connection, then they show up. How can I make the other pivots see the new measures and data? thank you in advance.

Power Bi reports premimum capacity are not being loaded while the reports for regular pro licence are working fine. This is a big impact and outage to our production and huge amount of outage. Please help ASAP..

Hello, we are experencing an intermittent issue where newly developed software is calling the refresh api to get the outcome of the refresh and its failing with the error below. This is the outcome of the call of the API, however the report does in fact complete successfully. Error ==> Failed to Refresh DataSet :: Operation returned an invalid status code 'Forbidden' (Check API Permissions => DataSet.ReadWrite.All)

When using $select in the query string for an OData v4 service it is ignored. For example: = OData.Feed("https://<org>.api.crm4.dynamics.com/api/data/v8.2/opportunities?$select=name,actualrevenue") This returns all opportunities with ALL fields, not only name and actualrevenue = OData.Feed("https://graph.microsoft.com/v1.0/groups?$select=id") This returns ALL fields, not only group ID This has a HUGE business impact, as this makes loading data in PBI reports extremely slow. The consensus in the Dynamics 365 environment is to export the data to an Azure database before loading it into PBI, which breaks security hierarchy and makes everything less user friendly.

Hi All, I'm trying to use the wordpress plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/embed-power-bi/ for displaying PowerBI reports on my site (with Service Principal permission). The plugin reports the error "AADSTS65001: The user or administrator has not consented to use the application with ID 'xyz' named 'myPBI'. Send an interactive authorization request for this user and resource." Following the indications found in the Microsoft documentation, I changed the API permissions up to this configuration but it keeps giving the same error. Is there any way to fix this? or can you recommend me a way to have my reports on a wordpress site? Thank you in advanced

hi all , I got this error when applying Row Level security . All reports were working for 1.5 year now and all of a sudden this message appreared that is connected to the Users multiple Roles . The User was always connected to multiple Roles before so what is now changed in the RLS ? Thank you

I am unable to refresh the dataset in Power BI Online. The following error pops up everytime. Hello, I have multiple Power BI Dashboards that leverage the HTML Content viewer custom visual ( https://powerbi.tips/2020/10/html-content-custom-visual/ ) from Daniel Marsh-Patrick. The dashboards are currently embedded in SharePoint Online Modern Pages and leverage the Power BI web part. Through Thursday (6/30/22) last week everything was working splendedly. At some point over this past weekend something changed. Data was refreshed on schedule with no errors and while the Dashboards load, no HTML content is displayed. If I hit the Dashboard directly in the Power BI workspace (e.g. app.powerbi.com) the dashboard displays all data correctly. Hi, I had a problem with the Power BI and Google Analytics connection. I had connected successfully before with GA at the end of a workday. However, this morning I turn back to the office and can't connect again. I also to try to re-sign in by open setting/ Data Source and re-install the Power BI with the old version But the error still like the image below Please help me !!!

Simple Powershell script running daily the past year using PowerBI cmdlets and on the latest version 1.0.946. Today after successfully logging on, most calls return a code 500 Internal Server Error. Even just doing Get-PowerBIWorkspace or Get-PowerBIReport returns the same failure. I've included the error results in the pictures attached. What may be causing this? UPDATE: Issue lasted from 7:10AM AEST to approximately 4:00PM AEST. The issue resolved itself without explanation. Would still like to know possible causes. Many thanks!

Hi all! 1. My customer's needs: multipage reports(10-20-50 tabs). Could I print\export to PDF\World\PowerPoint this reports via API? 2. Could I add my custom styles to PowerBI iframe 3. I have a big report with a scroll bar on the right side. And when I use report.print() I see only one part of my report (like screen browser window). How can I print full report, its possible?
