We are creating PBI report with data sources in Direct Mode. Row level security has been implemented through some tables. While viewing the report with data security , we could see a lengthy where clause is included in the PBI generated back end query (Snowflake). It seems the where clause is containing values for each records of the result set, but sometimes here they miss certain records and we couldn't identify why those values are not included.  We tried using dynamic parameters and able to see the records are coming in the grid, but we couldn't go with parameters as there are some issues with RLS and multi selection.  ... After initially discarding datamarts due to its early state buggy-ness, I gave it another go on a new project where the client wanted all to run online. After moving all ETL to dataflows, datamarts works quite well.   However, all the sudden I get the following issue when opening my datamart: The loader gets stuck around 90% and even after hours nothing happens. It does not seem to be an error - it is simply stuck loading. There is no error message and very little info online about how to solve this. I found a few posts suggesting to: Delete the datamart and create it again (hardly a solution, when I put in lots of work and already have reports/users depending on this) Clearing browser cache/storage (tried clearing all Chrome cache, local/session storage and even tried Edge and Chrome on another computer in incognito mode, all with no success) I am a bit lost, and almost ready to discard datamarts a second time. Hi, There is an existing Idea (for the last 5 years in fact) that suggests the ability to fix the position of a horizontal scrollbar would be helpful. >750 votes and 5 ideas merged and still no update. I am instead suggesting this is a defect and should be looked at urgently. Bookmarking should provide functionality to bookmark EXACT views of visualizations. By selecting Data & Display a user can control what is fixed and what is variable with the bookmark and Display should preserve spotlighting and whether visuals are visible or not - this should include the scroll bar position as that is key to the visibility of a visualiztion. ... Hello, We are in the process of cloudifying our various services but we are having a problem with the NAS connections.   Currently we have on-premise gateways on our infrastructure that connect to different sources (that we will call legacy). This solution is fully functional.   In the context of the migration we are going to Synapse and Databricks with new gateways (which are in the Azure IAAS). Those gateway must be able to access the NAS (through the folder connector). Therefore we have opened port 445.   The version of the powerbi gateway is the latest (December 2022) and port 445 is open (netuse ok and Test-NetConnection ok, which validates the connection and credentials)   However, when we try to create a new connection on the app.powerbi.com we still get this message ...   Unable to create data source. DirectQuery to Dataset Issue I started off connecting to various sources (SharePoint Online lists and Excel), months ago. They are all import, and I could publish my report. I added a DirectQuery to Azure DevOps through Advanced Editor in Power Query Editor and I still had no issues in publishing my report. I then added DirectQuery to a Power BI Datasets, using the Get Data option in Power BI Desktop BUT now when I try publishing, I get the following message:   My changes are not applied in the Workspace. Going to the service/my dataset that exists in a shared workspace I created, as I have access to create workspaces – I see the following:   I tried manually refreshing the dataset and then got this message   I have no issues in Power BI Desktop and I can refresh, so assume the online service is unable to refresh the dataset. So, I had a look online and found this guide Using DirectQuery for live connections, showing exactly what I am trying and that you can add this type of connection but that “Using DirectQuery for Power BI datasets and Analysis Services requires your report to have a local model.”. The issues I know face is that I do not have this option. What the guide says   What I see in my report, I do not have ‘Make changes to this model’   I found another article, where you could be able to set the storage mode but for me, the option is greyed out What I should see   What I see for DirectQuery to Power BI Dataset tables, the options is greyed out and I cannot change it   This is also not changeable   There are 3 shared Workspaces and I have admin access to be able to create shared workspaces. I am an admin on each of them so have full access to the datasets. I am the publisher of on one of the Datasets.   Would appreciate it if anyone could let me know if they have faced this issue and if they managed to find a solution.
