I cannot download the Power BI report that I made. The download button is grayed out and it says my file is a "system report". I don't know what that is and I don't know how to make is a non-system report. I don't want to have to create a new report and redo all my work from scratch, and anyway any new report I make it gives the same error. Please help asap, I don't wanna fail my class because I was unable to submit what I made.

We have a number of power BI Paginated reports that users need to subscribe to on email. When we populate a report parameter and the user chooses, "Select All" for that parameter, runs the report (which works fine) and then tries to subscribe to that version of the report (null) comes through as the parameters on the report, not all values selected.

Hello, I could not open a Support Ticket (somehow power BI pro is not supported?) and I did not find this in the reported bugs here, so: Evry 3 months I have the problem that all metrics in my scorecard do not correctly update - or - like it seems, the metric value loses its connection to the value selected in the report. It is not vissible for me as an scorecard admin. I just recognize it because I no longer see actual data and when I click on the link to the report, the reports opens, but it does not send me to the page where the value was connected - but instead shows an error on the start page: Klick here: error is shown: That shared report view isn't available We couldn't load the sender's customized view of the report (filters, etc.) because it expired. You're viewing the report's default view. When I google this error messge, I can find a support forum post that says: this error is shown when a Link is expired. and links would only last for 90 days (see here: https://community.fabric.microsoft.com/t5/Service/PowerBi-Scorecard-Metrics-not-automatically-updating/m-p/3133215) So, this means, the connection to the report in my metric has expired.to fix this, I have to edit the connection in the metric: I go into edit mode, it seems to be ok: when I click on 'edit connection'... ... the report opens and I have to navigate to the value I want to connect to the metric and click 'connect' and the save the metric. then, the link is working again and the metric is updated with the actual value. The problem is: I have more than 40 metrics in my scorecard. it is not possible tó update each metric every 90 days. this has to be automatically.

Recurring issue with all our reports where they are set to refresh at 8.30am each morning but they are not attempting to refesh and there are no error messages coming through. On the Datasets tab, it says that the next refresh is set to today at 8.30am (it's now 9.30am). This has happened several times over the last couple of weeks and is really causing us a headache. In addition, manually refreshing and publishing the reports is taking an age and often does not work at all.

Since the last February update, format of the measures no longer works as it is supposed to. When I change the format, I have to restart Power BI in order to see the change in the visuals. For example, if I have a measure formatted as percentage and I change the format to decimal, the report is still going to show the measure as percentage. Either I have to reopen the file to make it reflect the new format, or I have to wait painfully long time for this to happen by itself.

I've done a bit of searching and found very similar if not identical issues raised where the response was, "this is by design", "this is working as intended". Rather than try and explain the entire issue in text, I've attached a video with commentary. I understand why it is happening but I think if it is "by design", the design needs to be changed.

When a report is published in the service and you select Rename for this Visual on a field in a widget, it lets you edit for a split second and then saves the name. There is no time to erase and type in a new name. Both me and another user have experienced this with both Chrome and Edge browsers.

I'm using the Bookmark Navigator as my main page navigation menu. I have one submenu button on each page that activates another bookmark outside of the Bookmark Navigator grouping. This submenu button activates another bookmark outside of the Navigator group which changes a visual within the "page" the user selected from the Bookmark Navigator. The desired behavior is for my text and background formatting in the Bookmark Navigator to remain as-is until another selection is made from that Bookmark Navigator. It should not change when my submenu button is selected by users. For example, the button #2 background in the Bookmark Navigator turns white when selected and should remain white until another bookmark from that group is selected. What is happening instead is the Bookmark Navigator is randomly selecting white for another button when my submenu button bookmark is activated (which button turns white in the Bookmark Navigator randomly changes). The white background on a Bookmark Navigator buttons indicates to users which "page" they are on. When a visual within that page is changed with my within-page submenu button, the color in the main Bookmark Navigator should remain the same. Keeping the color as-is until another selection is made within the Bookmark Navigator is important so users have a guide as to which "page" they are on.

I tried implementing Field parameters for a couple pages in my report, and published it to Power BI Service. When I try to create a bookmark on one of those pages, the visuals are not working correctly. Either they show no data, or they remove the x-axis field (for example in a bar chart). Bookmarks work fine for the pages without a Field parameter present.

Hey all, Trying to refresh my datasets, but I've received an error: Processing error: An error happened while reading data from the provider: 'Could not load file or assembly 'System.Runtime.CompilerServices.Unsafe, Version=4.0.4.1, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken='' or one of its dependencies. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131040)' Cluster URI: WABI-US-NORTH-CENTRAL-B-redirect.analysis.windows.net Using PostgreSQL for Azure and using NO gateways. Hello, Earlier this week, all reports that use a blank button with custom image (Fill -> Add Image) are no longer functioning in the report view. The button cannot be pressed at all in the report view. This happens with both new and old reports and was first seen on October 4th, 2021 after refreshing existing reports. Steps to reproduce: Using Power BI Desktop, create a new report and insert a 'Blank' button. Select a simple action for the button, I.E. Web URL https://www.bing.com Select 'Fill' option and add a custom .jpg image for the button. Publish the report and attempt to use the button action from the report reading view. NOTES: This issue does not occur unless a custom image is being used for the button. If the button has the Outline option selected, then the button will function only if the user is hovering over the button border. If the button does not have the Outline option selected then the button cannot be pressed at all. This issues does not occur in Power BI Desktop (September 2021). It is only seen with published reports.

For some unknown reason, the row height on some of my matrices (matrix) keeps increasing to double what it should be. I've checked all variables, and there's no need for the text to wrap. When I click on any part of the matrix, it reformats back to the correct row height (which should be 1 row). It seems to be reformatting as wrap text when I first log into service, although there is no reason for it to wrap text because there is plenty of space. Anyone else experiencing this? Any thoughts or suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks

Since I have updated to the latest version (November 2022) I can no langer copy/paste visuals between pages or reports.

We have multiple Embedded reports using the Azure Maps visualization. Sometime last week, these visuals stopped displaying the map properly and we appear to be getting a 403 status for the azureMapToken. The visual itself does not display an error, rather it displays as if the map is there but invisible. You can see the hand icon when hovering over the visual and the user is able to right click > show as table.

There appears to be a bug with using Measures in Smart Narratives and the mere existence of a calculation group. See PBIX file. There are two calculation items in the Sales Doubler calc group, one is SELECTEDMEASURE() and the other is SELECTEDMEASURE() * 2. The calculation group is not applied in this mode. It just exists. If I change the Sales Doubler item to just SELECTEDMEASURE() as well, the smart narrative works, but if it is anything except SELECTEDMEASURE() it returns blank, even though the card works. I know that by applying the CG will cause an error because you cannot multiply text * 2, but that isn't the issue. I can control that with ISSELECTEDMEASURE() or by using the CG in a slicer then editing the interactions to exclude the card and Smart Narrative, but I cannot even get that far. Doing that does not restore the smart narrative. This seems to be a relatively new issue. I do not recall seeing this in the past few months, and I make extensive use of measures in Smart Narratives to return the text I want.

Hi, I have created a simple measure to dynamically update a report heading (I want it to display the client name when a single client is selected, but show as 'All Suppliers' when no selection has been made): Report Title = if(HASONEVALUE('DIM Client'[Name]),values('DIM Client'[Name]),"All Suppliers") However, when I attempt to add this value to a text box in Power BI desktop, it does not recognise the measure. I have tried checking the QA option suggested in another post, but this doesn't work. This issue is only occurring on this .pbix file, but I am not able to share the file due to the sensitive client data within it. Any suggestions?

None of the dataflows in my organization are showing up in the dataflow connector within Power BI Desktop. I have refreshed dataflows as well as cleared and reestablished my Dataflow data source permissions. I am not the only one having this issue. (See comments under the April 2021 update blog.)

I have multiple reports with subscriptions and they work just fine, until recently. All of our reports use a Data Model and that is working fine, the data only takes a few minutes to load in the report. When I set up a subscription for two separate pages in the same report, I get the PNG image just fine for one, but not the other. It just shows an X with the text "This visual was not exported due to a timeout." I cannot find anyone else who has solved this issue and there are not any settings that I can find that will extend the timeout in the datasource or subscription settings.
