Power BI Embedded Service Issue

We are experiencing a major issue just accessing a large dataset in Power BI Embedded and our A4 service level pointing to the North Central US (Gen2). These issues just surfaced late last week for an application that has been running fine for months. Simply loading a dataset is just churning and churning. Visuals that would normally load in sub one second are now spending minutes to load. The issue is very intermittent - can be fine in the morning and then extremely slow an hour later. Finally increasing to A5 makes no difference. I was told that there was a gateway update last week which strangely coincides with our issues. 

 

This has rendered us effectively down. Is anybody else experiencing this or know how to help? We submitted a ticket which basically was no help whatsoever because the people at Mindtree (or Mindless as I call them) have no idea how to troubleshoot an issue. We have escalated to our Azure rep as well.

Hi @DQuigg ,

 

No feedback has been received from other users with similar experiences to yours. What data source are you using? Usually for these types of questions we recommend that the user open a dedicated support ticket and have a higher authority engineer investigate further.
The known issue is that Premium dataset refresh in Service is slow, I don't know if this is related to your issue?

Hi Caitlyn,

 

We have done that. Our datasource is a Power BI dataset which has performed well until late last week. We have built an API that leverages the Power BI service and that it might be the culprit.
