Having the issue too. Looks like it remains unresolved for over 3 years from the date of this post. Open a 3D map and it just crashes and takes you to this post. 2D maps seem ok. I was just experimenting and the 3D map wasn't much good anyway as it was supposed to be a heat map but it fails to show the colours correctly too.

I have 2 tables of 15 milion entries, and they need to be appended, but whenever I try to append or merge the tables, it gives me the "There's a problem with WebView2" popup.

I encountered the same issue while automating Power BI Desktop using the FlaUI library in .NET. The problem was in the automation logic: I needed to close all unexpected dialog windows during the startup of Power BI Desktop, but I accidentally closed a window that triggered the WebView2 error.

I was in the process of re-naming the values in a matrix when my screen went black and displayed the WebView2 issue pop-up. I had five PBI projects open: three were minimized, and I had the other two spread across two screens. My computer had been on consistently for the past several days.
