Existing visuals My client has been using this report for months on PowerBI.com. and today reported 3 visualization could not be loaded.  these visualizations have been working for several months without fail. the measures work with Power BI Desktop just will NOT render on PowerBI.com All other reports with the same Enterprise Gateway are working.   RCA Steps: 1. delete and publish dataset 2. adjust dax formulas -- replace 'Divide' with '/' 3. fully qualify fields within measures "Table[Credit Limit]" 4. conducted a peer review who confirmed the measures no longer work on PowerBI.com     Details error: Couldn't load the data for this visual Couldn't retrieve the data for this visual. Hi,   I believe there is a minor bug with the X,Y co-ordinates of visuals in Power BI Desktop. Here are the steps to reproduce the issue:    1. Launch Power BI Desktop. 2. Connect to a data source and import some sample data 3. Go to a blank page (e.g. Page 1) 4. Add a visual to the page and add some data to the visual 5. Whilst the visual is selected, select the format icon in the Visualizations pane. Set the X position of the visual to 10 and the Y position to 10. Set the height to 200 and the width to 200. 6. Add a second visual to the page and set the X position to 10 and the Y position to 220, so that the top is spaced 10 from the bottom edge of the first visual.   If you select the second visual, you will see that the top of the visual (including the bar containing the Focus Mode and Export/Remove buttons) overlaps the bottom of the first visual, there is no space between them. To get the spacing I desire, I need to add another 15 to the Y position i.e. 235. When you click outside the visual, the bar goes away, and the overlap is not apparent.  It seems as if the height of the bar containing the Focus Mode and Export/Remove buttons is not counted when taking into account the Y position of the visual - it's as if the actual Y position is (specified Y value - height of bar). This may be by design, but I think it is counter-intuitive. As of recently (worked in September), the data labels for SOME of the bars on a bar chart are not showing up any longer. This is seen in both the designer and on the website. The data labels used to appear on all the bars, but now a few are missing. This occurs on data that has not changed at all and used to work as well as any new data I may include in the report. This problem was originally posted in "ideas" forum on 11-4-2016. Reposting in "issues" forum. I have the latest version of the Oct. release. ‎When editing interactions in Desktop, Oct. 2016 update (64bit), it appears that if you change the interaction on one visual, it applies to all the other visuals. (e.g. no more independant interactions between different slicers). This seems to be a screen update problem - if you move to another page then back again, the interactions are correct. (this is not a problem in September 2016 release). This is cumbersome and confusing when trying to set up interactions between visuals. ... View more

I have found issues with the Drilldown in the online published reports. The issue lie with the X asis of the bar charts not showing the correct information whenever I drill down.   Please note that the issue is dervied from drilling down via the drilldown button. The "Drill all to next level" button works fine and the correct information is shown on my charts.   The online reports have this problem but not the desktop version where everything works just fine.    Please hurry and fix this issue. I have a report which uses an live connection to an onpremise SSAS instance and cube.   When viewing/designing the report in PowerBI Desktop, all measures return correct values and totals.   When I publish the exact same report, the measure is divided by 10000 and incorrectly totals.     There is nothing special about the measure, no calculations, no custom aggreations.   I have even reinstalled the on-premise gateway a number of times, but I still get the incorrect results in the published version of the report.   I have even attempted to create the report online, rather than use PowerBI Desktop, and I get the incorrect result.    Any troubleshooting hints, or advice would be appreciated.   Different results in a live connection are concerning. ... Hi,   It seems the latest version of Safari (on mac) is not rendering the Power BI pages.   After sign-in, the page just appears blank.   We have the same experience across all users on Mac. The connection between Power BI and AX 7 is been established through OData feed (By using the AX 7 URL).     Consider the scenario where User – 1 is in Company – 1 and User – 2 in Company – 2 (Which is being specified in System Administration module). Depending on the company assigned to users the data must be populated. These users are added to a new Power BI workspace group in PowerBI.com.   The Power BI report is being generated and published to Power BI through Power BI desktop with User – 1’s credentials (Logged in with user1.organization.com). So, only the User – 1’s company data will be displayed for the rest of the users, in our case for User - 2.   Suppose if we change the company of User – 1 to Company – 3, then Company 3’s data is getting displayed in the Power BI report as expected. The generated report is being published to the newly created Power BI group and the same is reflected to the rest of users, in our case for User – 2.   Irrespective of company mapped to the User – 2, the data is populating based on the company mapped to User – 1, as the data is published through the User – 1 login in Power BI Desktop.   We need the data to be populated based on the company mapped to the user.   Could you please help me on this issue to be resolved.   Thanks, Elamathi. Hello,   I create a PBI model on desktop which gets refreshed daily and is then published to a certain group workspace. As I am the only one who has permission to change the report. Other users in this group who wants to make any change will need to "Make a copy" of the original one, which till now is all fine.   The issue I am having as shown in the subject is that only the first page of the report copy can survive. All the other pages just go missing. As it is copy version, other users can edit repot. But in edit report interface the add a page button does not exist as well.   Thanks in advance. ... View more

I am unable to get a consistent landing page when navigating between reports in Power BI web service   Specific conditions:   one dashboard, nothing linking to reports (using as placeholders) several reports, several sheets each   due to report building process, the sheets do not start with "report section {0}"  (we move sheets around, finding right flow, etc) IE first sheet, which is landing sheet by design (saved with this sheet active), is "report section 13" but when i click from report to report, i jump to "report section {0}", not my saved report page.   but if i click up to the dashboard, then select a report, i go the the intended start point, which could have any "report section XX" number, not the {0} one...   so, the unexpected behavior occurs when i try to switch between reports without any clicks.  try it out, see if you observe it.  or contact me.  i see it pretty consistently.     one other note:  this is in a "group".  not "my workspace" and i do have admin on it...   thanks       ... Hello,   I am creating analysis service tabular project type. and fetching the reords from sql server.      - I am cerating the two view in the sql. -Views created in the sql server. 1.PreviousYear view.     This view will bring the records from last year to previous 4 year records. 2.CurrentYear View.      This view will bring the records from current date to last 1 year records.   - Hence i am creating a partiation for the above two view which will render records in the model, - While i am executing both partiation individual it is returing the correct number of records. - but when i am executing both pariation to render the records in the model i am receiving the more records after merging.   -> Is this the issue of merging the partiation.
