User account used in Data Connection in Power BI Service

Hi Community.

We are trying to track down a service account that is being used in a Data Connection in the Management connections and gateway section of the Power BI Service.

Our practice was to append the end of the connection with the account used to make the connection.  We have a few that have been created by others that did not follow this naming convention.  So we don't know if any of the connections use the account.

Question is there a way to extract the user account being used in the data connection?

Thanks,

DKHughes55

Hi @DKHUghes55 ,

Unfortunately, as of now, there isn’t a straightforward way to extract the user account being used in a data connection in Power BI Service.

Thanks for your feedback! If you would like to suggest feature improvements, you may vote the idea and comment here to improve this feature. It is the right place for customers provide feedback about Microsoft Office products . What’s more, if a feedback is high voted there by other customers, it will be promising that Microsoft Product Team will take it into consideration when designing the next version in the future.

For user information, you might be able to use the Azure Active Directory Admin Center. In the Users Management window, under Bulk Operations menu, you can select an option to “Download Users”.

You may refer to this to see if it helps.
