Sync Slicers Pane does not show any syncing options in May 2024 update

  1. Update or install May 2024 Power Bi Desctop (Version: 2.129.905.0 64-bit (May 2024))
  2. Open any file with Slicers (or create new slicer)
  3. Click on any Slicer
  4. Open Sync Slicers pane

  5. Close and open the file or open another Power Bi file
  6. Choose any slicer
  7. Open Sync Slicer Pane

    Issue: The Sync Slicer pane is empty (no syncing options)

    The  option to Sync Slicers will no longer be avaliable on any Power Bi files

    This issue is not present in the previous version (Version: 2.128.1380.0 64-bit (April 2024))

Hi @ailinnesse ,

 

I am not able to reproduce this issue, there is no feedback from other users with similar experience as you at the moment, does this issue only occur in a particular report or can it be reproduced in a new report as well?
We'll keep an eye on this issue and would appreciate any additional information.

It repeats for me on any of my files and on new files as well.

I even tried several different combination of Panel settings, but for me it still repeats.

The only way it did not repeat was when I was creating new files from the first one that was open or created - in this case the Sync Slisers pannel worked fine.
However, if I create file, save it, close it and open it again. The panel is empty

Or if I create file and Open any other old file it will be blank for me as well.

I'm having the same issue. It seems a bit random, sometimes the sync slicers -pane stays empty, sometimes it work's normally. I'm working mainly on older pbix-files.

 

If the sync slicers pane is empty, I was able to get it working by selecting the three dots from the upper right corner of the pane and selecting Close. Then reopen the pane from the ribbon by selecting "View" - "Sync slicers". After this, the sync pane works normally.

That trick with Closing the Sync Slicer pane and opening it from the top menu (View - Sync Scilers) instead of Pane manager works for me too.

I have the same issue. The trick using the view menu to open the Sync Slicer pane works fine for me too.
