Single table refresh not working in June 2024 version of Power BI desktop

Hello,

Refresh of individual tables does not seem to work in the latest June 2024 version of Power BI desktop. It was fine with the May 2024 version. I even tried re-installing Power BI. However, nothing seems to work.

Also have this experience with my clients too.
Single table refresh does not work and they just get blank white windows where their visuals should be and the data does not refresh properly.

@David-Price I thought I was going crazy. I'm having this issue as well after my PBI Desktop updated to June 24 release yesterday afternoon...

Even when I try multiple table refresh, there is no visual pop-up to indicate that tables are refreshing. I just have to hover over the table after a certain amount of time for it to confirm that the table was just updated. I wonder what happened for this to break.

It is not working for me. I have not slightest idea on workaround

@PLHARNA The Refresh button on the ribbon may work for you (it doesn't for me because i always time out). Otherwise, I would suggest to refresh 2-3 tables at a time from the Model View. There is no longer any pop-up indicating that a refresh is initializing or occuring, but if you leave it be for a little bit you can confirm that the refresh did happen by hovering your mouse over the data table to see when the most recent refresh was.

This is a huge pain, but that is all I can think to do at the moment.

Also have this issue - can't see whether my table is refreshing and editing this in Power Query is impossible as it just does not load. Is there a way to go back to the May version as this bug makes this unworkable?

@nothanks2222222 weirdly enough, i just tried modifying something in the power query. When i closed and applied, the query refresh pop up appeared and the refresh worked... query refresh still not appearing when i refresh individual tables from the report/model views. The issues seem to be inconsistent across users. Very frustrating indeed.

It seems to work, it just doesn't display the pop-up box showing the progress of the refresh. Which is both annoying and troublesome.

Hi @Idrissshatila

Currently, Refresh on the menu bar is able to bring up the Refresh page and can be refreshed successfully. How does the single table refresh you guys are referring to work?

If you want to go back to the previous version, you can download the previous installer from the link below and install it.

I am also experiencing the same problem.
Whenever I try to "Refresh Data," there is no progress pop-up and errors frequently occur, one of which is attached to this issue.
It is very tedious to have to create a new file every day because all the modifications I have made will be lost.

Hi,

I am also experiencing same problem.

Whenever I try to "Refresh Data," there is no progress pop-up and errors frequently occur.

I checked data sources and nothing is wrong on the data sources side.

It all started to fail after June 2024 update.
