Power Bi Desktop Update

Hi

 

 I've deleted the previous version of the Power Bi installer and as such now cannot update to the new version.

 

If I try and run the new installer I get an error saying  it cannot find the older version.

 

I also cannot uninstall the previous version for the same reason

 

Is there a solution?:

The Power BI Desktop installer should be standalone, it does not need the older version while upgrade to a new version. Did you download the installer from https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/desktop/?

 

I saved the Jan 2017 version of PBI Desktop locally. If you need the previous version of PBI Desktop installer, please download it from here.

I did download it from Powerbi.com 

 

still getting this error - the f drive is a local partition on my disk

 

still baffled...
