Power BI Gateway SQL Server Connection Issue

I have a SQL server that was moved to a different sql server, and when I try to create a gateway connection to the sql server, I keep getting this error: 

PBI PROD03 Gateway: Received error payload from gateway service with ID 16721: SqlException encountered while accessing the target data source.

The cluster is made of 3 nodes and they are all on the same version January 2025.

Please help.

Hi,@rgupta25 .I am glad to help you.

Please check if the following settings are correct in your new SQL Server database.

Connection string error: the server name, database name, username or password in the connection string may be incorrect

Authentication credentials provided are invalid or do not have the proper access rights.

SQL Server configuration issue: SQL Server is configured to not allow remote connections, or there are other security settings that prevent connections.
