Power BI Embeded Help needed

Hello please i need help figuring this out.

I am trying to follow the steps to embed content using the sample in the tutorial linked below:

I am using .net core and using visual studio. I keep getting this error:

error : The SDK 'Microsoft.NET.Sdk.Web' specified could not be found. 

has anyone experienced this and can help me figure out what is wrong, I have been searching all the documentation and cant figure it out.

I updated the .net sdk to .NET8.0, changed the version in the .csproj file, still not able to run the program successfully.
