MySQL Config: Power BI Requires Password while Desktop does not

Curios observation here that's somewhere between feature and bug. 

I have mysql database running on a server that can only be tunnelled into and once the tunnel is open (via SSH) the connection to the database doesn't require a password. Connecting goes fine on the PowerBI Desktop:

Connected Datasource in PowerBI Desktop from Previous step -- no password required.

Datasource config panel for On Premises Gateway in Power BI Web Application -- Same configuration as PowerBI Desktop however Password is required.

I can repro the same issue as you. I’ve reported it internally to Power BI Team: CRI 36901114
I’ll post here once I get any update about it.
