Matrix visual not filtering correctly when new blank rows feature is on

I am on version 2.129.905.0 64-bit (May, 2024).

I am using the matrix visual and have tried using the new 'blank rows' feature. When the 'blank rows' is on and I filter between past years it filters fine, but as soon as I switch to 2024 it does not update fitler the visual (it remains as the previously selected year's data, in this case 2023). If I switch 'blank rows' off the visual filters correctly.

As you said, I enabled Blank rows , and then did the filtering on the time, the filtering is working, and it doesn't happen as you said. Can you describe in detail what you did?

I had two matrices, one for Jan to Jun the other for Jul to Dec.

With "blank rows" on, when I switch the slicer from 2023 to 2024, the dates that did not have data yet (i.e. Q3 and Q4 of 2024) did not filter out as expected as what happens with 'blank rows' off. Instead the existing data stayed in its place (i.e. 2023):

As of version 2.137.1102.0 64-bit (October, 2024) the issue persists in desktop, but seems resolved in the service.
