Erractic Text Box behavior

When changing the formatting in a text box it will often exhibit erratic behavior. The section that you highlight (to change font, size, color) will come un highlighted. When changing to a custom color after typing the first 3 characters of the html color code it will unhightlight the selection and change you to typing in the box where your text is located. Often fonts will revert back to system standard without being touched by the user.

Would you please record a small video or share some screenshots to clarify the issue?

Which Power BI desktop did you run? Please try to run the latest desktop version 2.49.4831.521 64-bit (August 2017) to see if the same issue happens.

Hello,

Here is a bug from the service (online). In this example I created text in a text box on a dashboard and then I tried to change the color to #A60935. As you can see when I was typing the new color code it flipped back to the text editor without me clicking off the box.

Also, I do use the latest desktop updates and the current version I have installed is: 2.49.4831.521 64-bit (August, 2017)

Here is another example of the text box behavior that is a little bit different. As you can see in the video, I change the text to Arial and then click over to another page, when I return all the text has reverted back to Segue UI.

Have you had a chance to review the second video above? I have tried saving the file after changing the font and it still reverts back to Segue UI. I am hoping the Power BI developers are putting more effort into these text boxes as they are frustrating with all the bugs.

I reviewed the second video, you changed the font family for the last line of the first paragraph, after you went to another report page and backed to the textbox, you didn't select the last line of the first paragraph.

Based on my test in Power BI desktop version 2.49.4831.521. In textbox, select all text and change font to Arial, then go to another page back again to select any text, the font will keep as Arial. You can test follow the same steps as ours in the same desktop version.

Fix is coded and should be checked in this week. ETA to Prod is 3-4 weeks, so that's the week of Nov 27th.
