DirectQueryUnexpectedEndOfStream PowerBI Desktop

Getting this error when refreshing on PowerBI Desktop.  I had put in a query parameter to limit rows when loading, it worked fine initially but isn't now.

Hi @steeleman5000 ,

There might be some transformations in your M query that Power BI service is not able to handle. If you have any complex calculations or joins in your query, try separating them out into separate tables or steps.

I know this is a bit old, but I just had this issue and was able to resolve it using a Table.StopFolding step after the initial connection.  This prevents any transformations beyond a basic select statement, so my assumption is that the Power BI Service handles this differently.  You can verify this by viewing the source query in the transformation steps.
