Cannot create a New DataFlow Gen2

Hello,

I am trying to create a New DataFlow Gen2 and it does not occur. I get the following error: "Unhandled HTTP Request Exception. Status Code: 400. Reason: undefined. Response Text: "ExternalServiceError"."

This happens after I try to create it in a lakehouse in my workspace.

Does anyone know how to deal with this?

So you created a dataflow via lakehouse ? Can you describe your procedure in detail?

I have the same issue. 

1. Go into Power BI (https://app.powerbi.com/)
2. Select a Fabric Capacity workspace
3. Select Data Factory from lower Left Cnr 
4. Select Dataflow Gen 2
5. try sourcing data ... eg Import from Excel, Import from SQL Server,  Import from csv/file etc...

Immediate outcome is below flicking error dialog that doesnt stop, cant do anything other than close the browser window to kill the session and restart.

search in your capacity Admin Portal for "Gen"... you should see the below setting.... I enabled it (it was disabled) and now i do not have the issue.  Hopefully it resolves it for you.

Create and use Gen1 dataflows

Enabled for the entire organization
