Banded Rows on Matrix Visualisation not working correctly on Service

Hello,

I have noticed today that reports I am publishing in the PBI service are incorrectly changing the formatting of banded rows on matrix visualisations. In the desktop application, the formatting shows as expected, it is only after publishing to the service that the error occurs. This is undesired from a user perspective as it makes the data harder to read.

The first 2 screengrabs are from the desktop app and are as expected. The second 2 are how the service is showing the banded rows. Please may you investigate?

Could not reproduce it in my side as far as my test, it works fine in Power BI Service and Power BI Desktop.

Please consider providing more details about this issue, such as the steps which can reproduce it. A sample file that could also help better.

I can't upload the pbix file and am restricted from sharing with anyone outside of my company on Dropbox/OneDrive (unless you are able to provide an email address I can share with), so please find a pbix example here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1LGQZ0TOfgdrp1c3VmTIJqRkGZIzL-0IU/view?usp=sharing

The underlying excel I used in case you need it is here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1_heuvskZ6mcf1FcS646tQWmcRsDijgTW/edit?usp=sharing&ouid=11557...

The above test file is doing exactly the same thing once published to the service i.e. banded rows are not aligning consistently.

Hi,

I have the same issue with my reports and I've noticed that the issue only arises when the Row Subtotals are set to On and a custom Background colour is selected for the subtotal.

Thanks

Robbie

@v-yingjl , is there an estimate on timelines as to when this bug may be fixed?

Many thanks.

I have a kind of similar issue, maybe related to this.

In Power BI desktop I have set an orange line in a matrix visual with option Visual - Grid - Border. It's visible in desktop but when I publish to .com it's not visible. Is it a bug?

Tried to clear browser cache, didn't work. Tried Chrome and Firefox, both show the same.

This is how it looks in desktop:

This is how it looks in .com:

The original issue appears to be fixed (UK).

@BK1234 - it may be worth you checking your issue too, in case the fix has resolved what you raised.

@JoeM I checked and it seems to be working in the latest version!
