Hi, there,

I am having a trouble connecting data from Adobe Analytics to Power BI Desktop.

Details: An unknown error occurred while retrieving the data.

I have no Admin rights in Adobe Analytics, could this be an issue for retreativng the data?

Help would be rewarded.

Thank you in advance,

Hi @Anonymous ,

Before you can sign in to Adobe Analytics, you must have an Adobe Analytics account (username/password).

ou should be aware of the following limitations and issues associated with accessing Adobe Analytics data.

  • Adobe Analytics has a built-in limit of 50 K rows returned per API call.

  • If the number of API calls exceeds four per second, a warning will be issued. If the number exceeds five per second, an error message will be returned. For more information about these limits and the associated messages, see Web Services Error Codes.

  • The API request timeout through adobe.io is currently 60 seconds.

  • The default rate limit for an Adobe Analytics Company is 120 requests per minute per user (the limit is enforced as 12 requests every 6 seconds).

Import from Adobe Analytics will stop and display an error message whenever the Adobe Analytics connector hits any of the API limits listed above.

When accessing your data using the Adobe Analytics connector, follow the guidelines provided under the Best Practices heading.

For additional guidelines on accessing Adobe Analytics data, see Recommended usage guidelines.

Best regards.

Hi @Anonymous were you able to find a solution? I used the Adobe native connector but I had some issues from time to time. As a workaroundm, maybe you can connect your data using a 3rd party connector. I've tried windsor.ai , supemetrics (which doesn't has PBI as a destination, so you first have to export to Google Sheets and then export to PBI) and funnel.io. I stayed with windsor because it is much cheaper so just to let you know other options. In case you wonder,  to make the connection first search for the Adobe connector in the data sources list:

Then, you should enter your Adobe credentials to make the connection. After that, you'll see a preview of your data where you can select the fields you want to see in PBI.

Finally, you just have to choose PBI as destination and copy and paste the url that will appear there in PBI desktop --> Get Data --Web > --> Paste the link
