Hello:   When you refresh data from Power BI Desktop (Importing) most of the time it times out.   If you go to PBI Porperties--- Data Load --- look for "Parallel loading of Tables". It is enable by default.   When you do refresh, half way thru you will encounter this error as shown below.   After disabling, i ran refresh for data and it completed suucessfully. For a weather report I query web data from windfinder.com and yr.no. These both access the data via an anonymous query. I have multiple errors when trying to get a daily scheduled refresh going.   First off the credentials get lost during the update:     This is of course nonsense, because there are no credentials, as the queries are anonymous. Why do these settings get dropped?   The other issue is happening during the scheduled refresh. Here I get navigation errors on the website. The refresh in the Power BI Desktop works just fine.   This makes the Web-Connector pretty much unusuable, as I have to check daily if the refresh went through or crashed (as most of the time). When I transfer my data to Power BI apps, the decimals are not being maintained the way it should be. Power BI app shows the number as multiplied by 100 automatically. For instance: 0.06 actually shows as 6.00 Similarely 123.45 shows 12345.00 Numbers without decimals are not affected by multiplying. so if the data has numbers WITH decimals and WITHOUT decimals, then then output is gettng somewhat mixed. Hi,   Recently I'm using the unified data model best practise to build reports. So this is what I'm doing: 1. Build the data model and deploy it workspace A 2. Build the reports and let them connect to the dataset that resides in workspace A (the scope of the single model use is the same workspace anyway).   An issue that I now encounter is when a colleague sends me over his model + report that was created in a different tenant or workspace that I dont have access to. I can open the model and deploy it without problems. But what happens if I open the report is that Power BI asks me to either retry, edit (makes sense because I deployed the model to another workspace) or cancel. If i press Edit, it comes back with an Instance of an Object not set to ..... Basically I can't edit the connection.   So I found out, you're only able to change connections if you had/have access to the workspace the data model is previously deployed to.   Is this by design or any workaround for this issue? Basically it forces us to work in the same tenant and grant access to all the people you are collaborating with. Should I now hack this Connection file? ... View more

In the web version of the Power BI Report Server (on-premise) solution, the filter tab does not allow for scrolling. When there are more than a few filters added or when the filters are expanded on a small screen, the rest of the filters get pushed off the screen, making them inaccessible since there is no scrolling capability.   Scrolling of the filters must be implemented for the filters tab to be useable for more than a few filters on the web version of Power BI Report Server. ... Recently I have been running into a situation where users can't see items pinned to a dashboard from reports that have been published using a Live PowerBI Dataset. Hi, I am using PowerBI embedded Apps Owns Data. I want to save report in my web application using Embed Report feature.
