Hi  @ddubey1

I don't really understand your business scenario.
You go to Snowflake via ODBC and then Desktop loads Snowflake's data. Based on this data, then you create slicer. this is a complete data visualization process. But you mentioned to use the value of slicer as a parameter, that's what I can't understand. slicer's value is retrieved from Snowflake, so I can directly refer to this value to create a parameter, why do I need to use slicer?

Perhaps you can provide more information about the business scenario to help me understand your needs.

Hi @QC

PBI Desktop has been updated to version 2.128.1177.0 , please update your Desktop to the latest one and check whether the problem persists. If the issue still exists in the new version, I will verify and get back to PG. Looking forward to your reply.

Hi @spindive,

We saw that you opened a support ticket and the ticket engineer has higher access to investigate this issue than the community support engineer, I would like to know more about this ticket, did they inform you that this issue was acknowledged as a bug and reported internally?

Best regards.

Hi  @CKSanalyst ,

We have reported this issue and submitted it to the product team.
They have been aware of the issue and the engineers will do their best to resolve it. I will update here if there is any progress, thanks for your patience.

For now, please downgrade gateway version to older than Feb 2024. Currently supported monthly updates to the on-premises data gateways | Microsoft Learn

Hi @mvvessem

What version of Desktop are you currently using? Can you provide the steps you took to do this? Based on the screenshot you provided it is not possible to restore the problem scenario, I need more information to confirm the cause of the problem.

Hi @DRF ,

Please check if you are using an older version of Power BI Desktop. If the PBIX file was created on a newer version, it might cause these errors. Try updating to the latest version of Power BI Desktop.

Best regards.

Hi @sjpbi ,

You can use var _select = selectedvalue(Dim_Date_ALL[YrQtrName])) to get the year you want, so your expression should change to PBMins[MeetingYrQtr]=_select
