Wrong data from Google Analytics

I unfortunately have an issue with loading data from Google Analytics via the native third-party API. I am only working with two measures: Pages and Sessions. It seems I always get a lower figure on both the number of pages counted and sessions on these pages, no matter what date filters I put on the query. I have checked and the data is not sampled. What is a possible explanation to this issue?

Thank you in advance.

FYI: These data are wrong when comparing to that within Google Data Studio.

Hi @davidhally,

The Google Analytics connector in Power BI Desktop rely on the Google Analytics Core Reporting API. Not sure if the Google Data Studio connects to Google Analytics via the same API, I would suggest you call the Google Analytics Core Reporting API directly to see which data returned, see: https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/reporting/core/v3/help

Although we attempt to release updates in accordance with any changes, the API may change in a way that affects the results of the queries we generate. Please update the Power BI desktop to the latest version 2.59.5135.781 then test again.
