Visual layering and sizing seems to be skewed

Visuals are not maintaining layering orders and text is not maintaining sizing.

We have reported this issue and submitted it to the product team.
They have been aware of the issue and the engineers will do their best to resolve it. I will update here if there is any progress, so please be patient.

Update:

This issue will be fixed in a future release of Power BI . There is no clear ETA at this time. Sorry for the inconvenience.

We are seeing this when using Chrome and Edge starting today.  We do not see this with FF browser.

Hi @ashleyfiore ,

Can you describe the problem in more detail?
Does it occur in both Power BI Service and Power BI Desktop?
Are you able to provide some screenshots of the error to show the specific error? (Please be careful not to include sensitive information)
What version of Power BI are you currently using?

Best regards.

@v-xiaoyan-msft

The issue occurs only in the service. It affects all browsers and also on mobile (validated on iOS).

Per the screenshot below you can see two issues:

1.) The layer order not being adhered to.

2.) The alignment of text skewed.

This started happening on Friday. No changes to the PBIT file.

This is an issue in Power BI Embedded too.

The first image is how the slicer looks in our embedded environment, and the second is how it looks in Power BI Desktop:

It's like the top padding has been slightly reduced. We experience it in tables and charts too - the scroll bar is slightly more to the right than before.

My Development team sent us the same issue.

When will this be resolved?

@v-caitlyn-mstf Answering for Ashley as she is traveling this week.

Can you describe the problem in more detail? - I believe the above comments and screenshots are reflective of the issue. Users are seeing this in the latest Chrome and Edge browsers, not in FireFox.

Does it occur in both Power BI Service and Power BI Desktop? - No, we are only seeing in Azure BI Embedded
Are you able to provide some screenshots of the error to show the specific error? (Please be careful not to include sensitive information)
What version of Power BI are you currently using? - Dev team is running Dec 2022 and Feb 2023 versions currently

Hi @v-xiaoyan-msft

Commenting to flag that this is happening in the Service for users in the UK too, although not on all pages of all reports, and not on all visuals on a page.  Started sometime on Friday/Saturday, and still occurs now.

Can you describe the problem in more detail?

Text Boxes, and Advanced Cards (certified custom visual) appear to have lost their padding and as a result are forced aligned into the top left of the visual. Padding is still listed as 5px in the visual details when using the web editor to check.

Does it occur in both Power BI Service and Power BI Desktop?

Occurs in Power BI Service, and the Power BI web editor, not apparent for us in PBI Desktop - Feb 2023.

Are you able to provide some screenshots of the error to show the specific error? (Please be careful not to include sensitive information)

See other screenshots from other user's posts, same issue.

What version of Power BI are you currently using?

Service version 13.0.20244.65
Client version 2303.1.12680-train

we are also experiencing this issue as well.  Located in the US but the servers are in Europe, I believe.
