Refresh does not complete with new Desktop updates

I have been forced to use the July 2022 version because all updates since then do not provide a completed Refresh.  I am importing from Excel and Access.  When I run Refresh it evaluates the queries, runs for a period of time and then the window simply closes. 

I am able to Refresh queries individually.

Hi @mp2006 

Will the same problem happen even if you update to the latest version of 2023 ? You mentioned that you can't refresh it completely, can you explain it by sample ?

Hi @Anonymous I have tried updates from Aug to Dec of 2022 and most recently Feb 2023.  None of them work.  
When Refresh works as expected there is a pop-up window that provides status of the various stages during the Refresh process:
1) Evaluting...... 

2) Waiting for other queries.....

3) Creating Connection to model.....

4) Loading Data.....

5) XXX  Rows Loaded as the final step.

It appears at least step 5 is not completing.  I would need to test further to determine where in the process it stops.  The following window does not appear indicating the refresh completed.  It simply closes.  No tables/queries are refreshed.

The issue appears to be related to the specific Desktop model.  Another much smaller model refreshes ok.
