Visual Basic Filtering: selection by name versus index

If Basic Filtering is used for report, page or visual filtering, the selected items are stored by index position within the value list at the time of its creation. 

Issue: If the value list changes (i.e. adding a new account team in the existing list of available teams), the genuine selection will not be preserved as intended, because it stores/retrieves the items selected by index position of the entry in the value list.

Request: please store/retrieve basic filter selections by value itself and not index position within the value list. This way a pre-defined selection will be preserved (unless the attribute value changes...).
