User changing

Hi ,

recently one of our employees that publishes and updates our reports have left the bussiness.

Since then the reports have not been updating is there away to change the report owner to a new user keeping the existing reports and allowing the reports to update.

 

Hoping for a resolution

Hi @Anonymous ,

As far as I know, currently we could not change the ownership of a report directly in Power BI.

 

If people have the copy .pbix file from this employee and have access to the data source, they can re-publish the copy report to Power BI Service and re-configure refresh for the report.

 

If the employee is not only the publisher of the report but also the only person who have access to the data source, you may need to change the data source credentials first.

 

In addition, if people have access to the data source and have edit permission of the report in Power BI Service, they can edit this report in the workspace from Power BI Service directly.
