Trouble refreshing data

Hi!

I have a problem while refreshing my data on power bi service, this is the error:

Excel Workbook: The 'Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0' provider is not registered on the local machine. The 64-bit version of the Access Database Engine OLEDB provider may be required to read this type of file. To download the client software, visit the following site: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=285987.

I already installed the Access Database Engine and still not working, any ideas?

Status: Investigating

Hi @Anonymous ,

Double check that you have properly installed the corresponding ODBC drivers:

If everything is set up correctly, check your Microsoft Office architecture (64 or 32 bit).

In case you are attempting to use ODBC on a 64-bit machine whilst your Microsoft Office version is 32-bit:

  • Download this installer here.

  • Do export the contents of the zip file to your desktop.

  • Exit WinAutomation from the system tray by right clicking on the WinAutomation action and selecting "Exit".

  • Right click on the executable file called "ForceDotnet32bitOnExeFiles.exe" and select "Run as Administrator"

This will handle all the configuration changes needed to be done so that you can combine a mix of 32- and 64-bit Office and Windows.
