Timeout issue

Can you interpret this for me and what the typical reason mitght be:

 

Behandlingsfeil: Microsoft SQL: Execution Timeout Expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding.

Hi @EvenMyrvold.,

 

This issue is very likely that data query isn’t completed by the SQL data source but the query time has reached the limitation. In other words, the data source is not able to handle the requests/queries within the timeout time.

You may try this solution: prolong the command timeout in Power BI connector dialog or configure it in the data source itself.

Or you may consider reduce the data amount used in the report to reduce the queries.
