The error message "The given data source kind is not supported" in Power BI Service typically means that the data source you're trying to use isn't compatible.

but PowerPlatform dataflow is a supported data source and we will continue to investigate this issue for you.

I understand that, but how come the PowerPlatformDataflow, which is directly a microsoft datasource and quite new connector compared to power bi dataflow (legacy) be not supported any more? 😮

We have reported this issue and submitted it to the product team.
They have been aware of the issue and the engineers will do their best to resolve it.

In my case the issue was resolved moving from gen2 to gen1 dataflows
