Table conditional formatting broken in subscriptions?

I have a report that displays user information in a table by rows, with dates for the columns.

 

Conditional formatting is applied to this table so that cells format their backgrounds in different colours depending on the data.  This allows for an easy visual summary of the overview of the information for each user at each date.

 

This displays fine in the report and also in a dashboard to which the visual is pinned.

 

Users subscribe to the dashboard and receive a weekly email that provides the visual summary in an at-a-glance form.

 

This morning, the email pulls through the visual and its data but not the conditional formatting.  I have tried unpinning and repinning the visuals and also setting up a new subscription.  It appears that the link that passes conditional formatting from the dashboard to subscription emails is broken.  The issue is both in the body of the email and also in the png attachment.  This breaks the functionality of the subscription for my users.

I did not find any restrictions in the official support documentation regarding how conditional formatting affects subscriptions. However, I do not rule out the possibility that complex designs may affect subscriptions. Have you tried to see if a simpler design would successfully subscribe?

Your suggestion isn't a fix.  The functionality was working and has broken since the solution was put into use (it has been working several months before starting to fail).  I have now also rechecked today to see if the platform bug has been fixed and the issue is worse: now the formatting is not visible in the dashboard either.  It is still visible in the underlying report but it is the subscription from the dashboard that my users rely on for their updates.
