Second monitor problem

I work using my laptop and a separate monitor using "Extend Screen". Up until recently I could move Power BI Desktop to the top screen and it would fill the screen in all the normal ways (drag window to top of screen, click the icon at the top right etc). Now if I try to do that the Power BI window sits in the top left of my screen, and stays about the same size as my laptop screen. Clicking and trying to stretch the window doestn work.

Periodically if fixes itself, but I havent spotted the pattern to that yet. Not sure when this started happening, but it's definitely relatively recent. Never had this before, and all other programs working fine.

I think this issue may be caused if you previously opened the file when the laptop was not connected to the external monitor. It then 'remembers' what monitor it was last opened on. As pointed out above, the fix is to resize it in the external monitor and then fit to page. Then close it down and come out of Power Bi and restart your laptop. It should then open in the second monitor (or you can drag it on to your second monitor and it should display correctly). It seems to have worked for me, anyway.

I have the same problem, also in Power Query in Excel. Power Query in Excel doesnt even render properly when I I turn my laptop screen off and only work on the external screen (4k)
