Dear team

We have an issue with Power Bi in Safari on Mac OS Sierra and El Capitan. The problem is that Safari browser does not load/shows page(just white page after authentication). All extension disabled

Thank you in advance

Hi @AndrewShukh1984.

Could you please clear cookies and sessions of browser, then exit browser and try to login again? I got this with IE but not sure for safari even thought i'm using safari.

An existing issue has already been reported internally: CRI 28176938

After investigating product team have found the root cause to be an issue with the size of cookies from AAD to allow authentication and login. If the customers cookie size is above a size threshold (4096 bytes x 2) Safari will not save the entire cookie, which will cause the server to return a 500 error when hitting the page.

And there is no easy mitigation for this as safari has a low cookie size limit compared to all other browsers.

For now, the best mitigation for the customers will be to use another browser in mac (any should work) such as Chrome, or Firefox

Best Regards,

Herbert
