Report Subscription Issue

We are playing around with the Report Subscription feature, but have been running into issues with performance/consistency.

It seems that any time the dataset/report pbix file is replaced on the service (same exact file, just refreshed data) the subscription gets removed. However, we have consistently use the Data Gateway to refresh and then we get the emails and the subscription remains intact/running until we replace the pbix.

We would like to transition from sending emails manually with screenshots to making users subscribe themselves. However, if the subscription cancels every time we try to replace the model, it seems like this isn't a feasible solution/service for our users.

Is this a bug or is this the way the subscription is intended to operate?

Hi @willnic,

Based on my test, each time republish the report, the subscribe created for the original report still here. In your scenario, is that report in My Workspace or group workspace? Is there any other members can edit that report?

Hi there - the report is in a group workspace. We have tested with 4 users total subscribing (all who are Admins in the group workspace). Three of the 4 of us have experienced the issue I outlined where the subscription cancels each time the pbix model is replaced. One user has not had it cancel.
