RLS works on dashboard and in Dev workspace, but doesnt after being moved in Test and Prod workspace

Hello,

I have been working on a dashboard that we have been trying to test out the RLS for our work. The RLS works when testing in the dashboard and when it is moved into the Dev workspace, but when it is moved into the Test and Prod workspace no one is able to see anything on the dashboard, we are all blocked.

This is in the dashboard setting up the roles for the three people we are using as testers to get it to work:

Here is the same roles set up in the Semantic model while the report is in Dev

And here is the test in the Dev workspace that shows it should be working:

However, when the report and model are moved into the Test and Prod workspace all three people are blocked from seeing anything:

I do not move the workspace from Dev into Test or Prod, our IT team does, so I do not know how they do it. I did find out the Report and Semantic model merge into one file when moved into Test and I wonder if that may be an issue. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi @zanderson45 ,

Please make sure that the users have the necessary permissions in the Test and Prod workspaces. They should have at least the Viewer role to see the dashboard.

As you mentioned, the Report and Semantic model merge into one file when moved into Test. This could potentially cause issues if the RLS settings are not correctly applied to the merged file. Verify that the RLS settings are intact after the merge.
