Query View Taking Forever, Query Mod Takes Forever, Bad Performance after Sept 2022 Update

Is there anything I can do to get Power BI Desktop to work well /quickly when in Edit Query Mode?  It takes absolutely forever to remove duplicates in a table, and even getting the list to appear in preview when in query editor takes several hours.  My data is just NOT that big.

May I know what’s the data source and connection mode of your report? What operation did you do when you see the slow performance? Will you see the bad performance in other reports?
