Premium Capacity Utilization And Metrics - Timepoint Detail Inconsistency

Hello,

The Timepoint drill through is a great addition to the Premium Capacity Utilization and Metrics app. However, for some timepoints the % of capacity is different to the CPU performance over time graph in the Overview page.

The example below shows 115.24 interactive seconds (48.02 % of capacity) in the tooltip from the Overview page, however, the Timepoint detail page shows 228.1 interactive seconds (95.03 % of Capacity). The 51.4 background seconds are consistent.

Is it because there is an interactive query that spans multiple 30 second intervals? If so, it would be good to have overall CPU (s), but also CPU (s) for that 30 second interval only so that it matches with the Overview page.

Please investigate. Thank you.

Hi,

In my opinion, if you want to get a solution for this kind of premium metrics usage app problem as soon as possible, I suggest you to open a support ticket to get direct help from the technical support team of Microsoft to have a remote session with you to help them to make sure if this is an issue existing in the Power BI.

I concur. We have a similar use case where using drillthrough into 30 sec point shows 24 hours span. This is not helpful as it shows non related operations. We want to see only activities during this 30 sec window. This would really help identify where the CU spikes come from.
