Powerapp Custom Visual Error

I get the following error message when trying to choose existing app for the PowerApps Custom Visual. Creating a new app takes me to powerapp studio but there is an error when returning about "error getting environments". 

Error getting environments

The server isn't responding.

Try refreshing your browser.

Using edge (new) and chrome same issue. Was working fine a week ago.

try to edit it in the browser after viewing it, there was an edit function in the browser.

Same issue, the power app is working fine by itself, but not able to add it in Power BI report.

One method which worked for me was to ignore trying to establish a connection to an existing Power App in Power BI Desktop, and instead add the Power App visual through the Power BI Service.
