PowerBI Dataset View cannot be filtered

I've encountered a strange bug where the dataset view of a table cannot be filtered if it is not the right-most columns of the table.

From my investigation, it looks like upon opening the "Filter" option on a column, the dataset view is shifted to the right-most side of the table. Once this happens, it is impossible to navigate to the drop-down menu to filter the data as required.

This issue is preventing data exploration, although a work-around is possible by creating new columns referencing the left-most columns to filter on the data.

Are you referring to the box that pops up when you filter on the left column, blocking the data in the right column? Or can you explain your problem in detail through screenshots or videos ?
